Can someone loan my the money for this?!?

I hear Jayson Shaw wants to get Shane on that table with a mandatory push out.

15K in 1932 equals WELL over 109K in todays money. In fact it is over $225K. Might not be such a bad deal. You will never see another one like it i dont think.

I was thinking the same thing. It's an amazing table. Hopefully wherever it goes it will be preserved.

depends on the condition of the cushions, if they are dry and rotting then they can be replaced without damaging the table, it would be better than letting them rot and dealing with the fall out from that.

Second, Is I doubt that box will get much play, it will look great in a mansion somewhere and not get play. Its more history/art than anything. Or a mens club<---do thse even exist anymore?? Its a very masculine table. I seen 12' snooker box's in the lobby of 2 different hotels in Israel 15 years ago, that would be a good plan too for it.

Absolutely. I don't see anything wrong with maintaining its glory, I just felt like cracking a joke. Even if I had the money for something like this I don't think I would buy it though, I am under threat of death and sworn not to buy another cue or table for at least 5 more years!

My wife just doesn't understand....

That awesome piece of craftsmanship has been on the bay for many months.

I got a feeling it's gonna be awhile before it goes anywhere to. It's hard for most people to justify an expense like that. But I have to admit, it's great table and piece of history.

It's 'local pick-up only' -Moving and set up probably astronomical. Hard to imagine how they got it into a house in 1890. 40 mule team maybe.

It has seen a couple of 40 mule trains ... at least. Notice the pictures show it on a tile floor and then in another location with carpeting. I had to scale down from a 9er to an 8 due to space limitations when I moved so I guess I'm out. That is the only reason, of course.
