Can you ID this cue?

A local gentleman has asked me for help in IDing this cue. I have my ideas, but decided to ask some of you who are more knowledgable. I do not have the cue in my possession at this time, and I will try to get better pix.

Yes, it will probably be available for sale, once properly identified.

Any ideas?

Not sure who made it , have some ideas, but I do know I really like it. That long butt cap ought to give some of the experts a idea. Jim

Yep, I like TAD for the butt, but the joint & pin? I dunno. Here's a sweeet tad with a long buttcap:

I think the cue could be an early Tad Joe, that's who I would contact, and I also think it would be more than worth contacting them because if it is an early Tad it's worth a lot of money!!!!

Take care

tad

Its definitely a Tad..
pre 70 cue.
he quit using the brass pin right at the end of 69 sometime.

Joe ,

dont take this to the bank, i bought at that denver auction, what they said was a tad, thought i had hit a home run, it had the long but cap the same ring below the wrap, brass pin, sent it to tad, turns out it was a early corsair.. My nuts still hurt

tad

the cue has Tad all over it but i could be wrong,
the joint ends of the shafts look alittle off to me but,
I still think its a tad,
at least i hope its a Tad, just love to see the old tads surface, its a rare find if your a Tad lover....

Looks to me it's a early Tad. I have two very old Tad shafts that are pretty much identical to these. Good find!

Do you know what the shaft taper length might be? BTW, I can't tell from the photo...are those Titlist veneers?
