Casino daily take during pool tourn.....??

I cannot answer, but it has to be better than the CES, consumer electronics show.

That is the week experienced tipped employees in LV take time off, from wait staff to valets to dealers.

Geeks don't tip well, if at all.
Prolly don't gamble much, either.
Well... Vegas thrives on large groups of people making a continuous series of bad financial decisions. And for whatever reason, most of the I.T. Engineers I know, don't gamble. Those of us who tend to be good at our jobs tend to approach both work and personal lives in a rational, reasoned way.

the casinos give special room rates and big perks to the organizers. if the people dont spend money in the pits then they dont get to come back next year.
They don't need to spend money in the pits.
They eat in restaurants, drink in lounges and seek entertainment in the resort.
Gambling on the floor has a lower RTP than in the pit and they can fit more asses. A lot more.

But do you change your shirt?

Nah, pool players for the most part aren't eating in the more expensive places, so when they take a huge portion of the rooms, revenue goes down considerably except for maybe the cheap crap at the food courts. Same for the lounges.

Just read the Derby threads and similar and all kinds of people are, and are recommending taking drink and food to their rooms. Normal people don't do that, they're there for the experience, better food and better drinks.

Pool players are there to prove they can live on a very tight budget.

A place in the middle of nowhere is most likely benefiting from any action they can get...but

I was just thinking of the old executive, the last couple of years I knew some pool scuffs who would have 10 or 12 guys in one room, of course the hotel had to know from the cameras and all the people going in and out , but it was still funny.

The smell in there after a week.... probably burned the paint off the walls

In the case of the Horseshoe, the DCC is reportedly the busiest week of the year. It's a special case, though, being where it is. No way the AMA is going to have it's annual convention there. Or even the American Quilting Society.
AMA, American Motorcyclists Association or American Medical Association??????

I don’t know Bob, those quilters are pretty hardcore……😂

I think the answer to your question depends on the ratio of fishes, nits and railbirds. :)
fishes and nits in pool aren't always the fishes or nits in a casino. I know someone who used to be quite a prominent pool player. Won 3rd at the reno open and got $3000, lost it in 15 minutes at craps.

And, of course, they will have all those quilts available if there's another ice storm like we had the first year at the Horseshoe -- 2009. Could make a fortune.
I remember that storm well, wow it was a big one.

I work in the casino gaming industry, so I can speak with some experience that ANY event which brings players into the casino increases revenue. I can't say if a pool tournament is any more or less of an impact than, say, an archery meet, or a ballroom dancing event, but I suspect it's similar to anything else.

I remember it too. There was a big tree down on 111 that almost blocked the road to the casino. Crazy.
Roads were blocked for a while. The casino workers had to work double shifts.

I went to the buffet with Harry platis for bfast the next morning, he had the front of the line pass. There was oat meal and hotdogs and a few other things left. Not much of anything to eat.

Later in the day the roads opened & the casino was back to normal, but wow it was bad
