I recieved my caps today and I must say they are AWESOME!!!!

Alton you do fantastic work. I am amazed how heavy they are, very solid construction. The finish is like glass.


If anybody is on the fence of having Alton make you a set of caps - JUST DO IT! He is very easy to deal with.

Thanks for a nice review Chris..
I do try to make a thick Glass-like finish..
Especially the tops..Can really see the depth of the clear coat
over engravings.
It takes a lot of time to build-up and cutting back to get it that thick and flat/smooth.
The results are well worth the effort..
It's something that is hard to appreciate in a photo..
The engravings are a little shallower that the previous Sugertree Tops I've made..
Less CNC time so I can bring the cost down, but, in case it gets nicked or scratched,
there's not much depth for repair as the older ones. A trade off..
