My Diamond Pro Am is getting real close. I read somewhere here that if you use blue chalk on tournament blue cloth you get a black mess. Is this true and if so, what color chalk should I use. Thx again, Rich

Which helps extend the life of the cloth and keeps it lookin good.Bigtruck said:I use blue chalk on blue 860HR. I vacuum about once a week. After vacuuming I wipe down with a slightly damp cloth.
I have the Diamond Pro Am table with the blue cloth and the blue chalk does leave a mess. Everytime i chalk my stick and hit the ball i can see the chalk dust. I just ordered me some gray chalk. I was told it would not show anything. I will let you know as soon as i get mine.Puttnutt24 said:My Diamond Pro Am is getting real close. I think the main thing about getting a lot of chalk on your table is ,"nervous twitch chalking". Only chalk while looking at your tip. You'll use less chalk. Have less "chalk explosions" on your table.
Boom done!

When I'm using the table (which isn't often enough) I like to vacuum once a week and wipe it down with a damp cloth. I've never had a problem with marks on my table. I prefer to put my chalk on the tip, not the table.
Or don't chalk over the table. After hours of play you'll notice less chalk on the table. I also useBigtruck said:I use blue chalk on blue 860HR. I vacuum about once a week. After vacuuming I wipe down with a slightly damp cloth.

My solution is to quit chalking all together, Of course I miscue every other shot but the cloth looks new.realkingcobra said:OR....use a chalk board eraser to erase all them little nasty chalk markers, works like a charm, you'll never even know they were there:grin: but it has to be the old style grade school black board eraser, none of that dry erase BS.
