I don't think you can edit polls once you commit to the choices you've selected to be in them. Once posted, only a mod can edit it.

And, methinks you're limited to only ten (10) choices maximum in a poll anyway.

Ya just vote other for any OTHER chalk, But yes I did want it on, just forgot it.

I layer Kamui and BD most of the time. Right now I'm trying 1.21 and Balabushka with and without the 0.98. I can't choose that unfortunately so I'll pick, "Other".
That's a lot of fine chalk!! kinda best of both worlds!

Thanks for the post!

I have tried Blue Diamons, Balabushka, and last Kamui 0.98 Blend. Always go back to MASTER GREEN. CHEAP, and Works well. Plus I have a 1/2 gross or pre and post FLAG.

No one for cosmo? That's funny cause I learned about it via AZB... Someones gotta be using it! (or I guess maybe "someone" is sick of yet another "chalk" themed poll!) ;)

Chalk Tested with the robot!

I use Blue Diamond for real serious matches. Then Triangle and then Masters in that order. I put a cue in the robot after shaping the tip. I chalked it real good 1 time with Blue Diamond and fired the robot with a tip and a half of right English. It miscued on the 26th shot. Did the same test several times with Triangle, Master, and Kamui. Triangle miscued at 24. Master miscued at 22-23. Kamui made a mess on my table and miscued at 23. I used the same cue with the same tip for all tests. The old chalk was wiped off and the tip reshaped before each was used. The reshaping was done on a precision lathe with a shaper that makes the tip exactly the same each and every time. I also tried the test with out shaping the tip every time. The results varied very little with Blue Diamond on top, Then Triangle. If I get some time I will video the tests again and put it on youtube and my website.

Been using the Blue Diamond for a while myself now, just recently bought some Balabushka (black wrapper), really like it. Would like to see the result of the test with it.

Blue Diamond gets my money every time. Previously played with Triangle and had a brief fling with Masters before settling on BD. I found both the Triangle and Masters to be 'slippier' compared to BD. Shot a few times with some Silver Cup and that had the same slippy feel.

Haven't tried any of the Kamui chalks yet, but from those I've spoken to who have used it, the benefits they've experienced are negligible compared to other chalks when price is factored in.

I agree! Put them all through the test! Lets see how "different" pre flag/post flag are, and just keep on going! :)

I bought a couple of pieces of Blue Diamond for me and a buddy to try out, a couple years ago. He lost his rather quickly. :p Then I went and somehow lost my pocket chalker.

Turns out it fell out of my pocket at the regular place that I play, and someone turned it in. I had to chuckle though, when I discovered that they had pulled the Blue Diamond and put Masters in it before turning it in.

(Haven't lost it again since, but I haven't bought anything better than Masters since then, either, heh heh.)

I use Master's chalk because I find it at most of the pool rooms where I play. I prefer the green over the blue just because the blue is a lot messier on my shaft and hands.

I sometimes use Green Triangle chalk and really like it too. It's harder to find or else I'd use it more often.

I recently tried the Kamui chalk. I can chalk up every 4 shots without miscuing with it, but it's very messy as it gets all over the balls. I cleaned the balls on my home table and after about 2 or 3 games, the cue ball was filthy.

What does Pre-flag, Post-flag means?

Blue Masters make a mess out of my hands, and a lot of chalk dusts.

I currently use a Triangle and it works well for me. Much cleaner and lasts longer. Would be trying a Blue Diamond soon.

I found it disruptive to the pace of my game to search for and move to the Blue Diamond chalk on the table. I also felt like it made a little bit of a mess and marked the cue ball up more than the Masters I'm used to. Because of price and no perceived performance gain, I use Masters.
It would be irresponsible of me not to also mention that I'm an above average player at best. That might account for my inability to utilize chalk as a performance enhancer.

What does Pre-flag, Post-flag means?

It refers to the time at which the chalk was made. The original chalk which was made many years ago had just the Masters name on the packaging. At some point the formula changed and the packaging gained an American flag which is what we see nowadays. Personally, I've only played with flag-era chalk and it wasn't for me, but there are many who swear by the pre-flah chalk. Hopefully I'll pick some up one day and see for myself!

I got a couple brand new pieces of green pre flag, from a case/cue combo I bought from a pawn shop.... Haven't tried it yet. Maybe once I run out of BD I will check it out. Lot of people say (Including the manufacture, from what I tread) that its the same formulas. Just added the flag after 9/11. but this poll shows its popular, can't all be rumors right!

Who is known on AZ for collecting Chalks? It would be interesting for them to share feed back also! ;) hint hint....
