what a poolweek !!!

after winning the National Championships 9-ball seniors (40+) i also won for the first time the national title 9ball in the men's division .

I must say a special word about Bob Danielson who made me a cue to my specs with his own magnificent technology , it's since i play with my BD cue that i'm really becoming a much better player .
Thanks Bob , keep up the good work and keep on making pool players happy .

Just wanted to share my happiness with the members from AZ , up to the next title

Do you have a link for that?

..and it would be nice to know the champion's name

Good for you. Sounds like your nation has some major problems at the moment.

Congratulations and well done.

Can you explain about a cue being made to your specs. What specifications were taken into account. What is your height and then the length of the cue he built for you? I've been interested in learning more from your point of view.

my name is Christoph Marien , completely unknown as Belgium is a very small country with about 350 competetive players .
I know if i had been an American playing in Amerika i wouldn't be in the top 500 so let's say i'm lucky i live in Belgium

specs that i needed :

the butt as thin as possible ( as i have a snooker background )
weight , balance point and lenght the same as my snooker cue
i wanted a ringtail lizzard wrap on it .
and i wanted a firm hit with low deflection at 12,75mm .

Bob Danielson nailed it .

Belgium gave us Jean Claude Van Damme and now, the one and only Christoph Marien.
Not bad at all.
Next stop, U.S. OPEN 2016! How about the world cup of pool?

Hmmmm....a trifle modest, are we?
To be National champion from the land that gave the world Simonis cloth , Saluc balls,
and Brecel in snooker and the great Ceulemans at carombole is a title to be proud of.

2017 i will be participating in the Eurotour for the first time , the first 2 Belgians in that ranking can compete in the world cup of pool and that is possible .

US open is way over my head .

but in 2017 i will be coming to Las Vegas for the BCA nationals

Belgium's impact on the billiard world is even more impressive when you realize that it's only half the size of greater Los Angeles.

There are a few really good players in Belgium like Serge Das and Olivier Mortimer not to mention grand old man Pascal Budo so taking the national title is an awesome accomplishment. Well done, congrats!
Greetings from Finland.

Congratulations Christoph! Will you go to European championship in St.Johann next year? We may play against each other there  And getting to the very top in any country in Europe is not easy task so enjoy your time at the top, you deserved it! ;)

US open is way over my head.

You can cash in the US Open. Off course like anyone you will need a little bit of luck
in the draw so you don't run into 2 monsters and you will need to play well but you do
have the game to do it.

I still remember the ass-kicking you gave me a couple years back where I scored 3
racks in 1 inning (running out after you missed, 9-break, break & run) and was playing
my A-game and still lost 9-4 in 4 or 5 innings.

gr. Dave
