At the warm up of the second match I reffed on the stream table, Mr. Souquet informed me it is Ralf not Ralph on his card.


Think ya'll could photo shop my hair back? :cool:

Methinks we're getting to the point here. You obviously are a friend of Jeremy's, and are unhappy he didn't end up winning this weekend. ***edit *** since this post, I see he is your brother.

It's cool to stick up for your brother. I do think you're going a bit overboard. This tourney seemed to be quite well run, for such a big operation. From what I've read. Not everything will go perfectly, as is the case in any big operation. But the general consensus is that things seemed to work out pretty well.

Just my opinion. Worth exactly what you paid for it.

Well, there is certainly some measure to what u say, but I think I have been fair.. I stated what I thought, ammended it to say that thinking it was intentionally done was too strong, and apologized, and done nothing sense but raise pertinent questions about the shot clock, and this site.. I asked the referee what matches he used the clock on, and instead of answering, he deflects by saying I'm yelling at him (which is utterly ridiculous, and childish), and now he refers me to the stream (which I watched, BTW... ALL 3 DAYS.. Sorry for yelling), but I never saw any match go on the clock..

I said I'll admit it if I'm wrong, but so far, nobody has shown me that I am..
 
A suggestion to the organizer:

I don't much like how the shot clock works at pool tournaments. The carom players have a much better idea. There is a visible display of the clock as a colored bar moving across a monitor screen that faces the table. (Often there are two monitors so that the clock is easily visible no matter where the player might be.) There is no decision about whether to sound the warning when the player may or may not be down on the shot -- if time gets short, the warning sounds. All matches are on the clock.

Unfortunately, this is both more expensive and requires more effort from the staff compared to just a stop watch. The ref has a remote control for the timer.

The reason i was tossing the verification back at you is because, you were not at the players meeting , you were not at the referre meeting not a player in the event, but dead set on the fact that they never said anything about a shot clock until the semi and finals also implying that Ken did this to help out Mike. Tossing a persons rep to the wind without any proof, way way out of line. Jeremy was the second pro player I ever met and if he had not been at the table Roger Griffis would have been the second pro player I ever met, went to a colleget tourny at CJs and they were doing a demo match, up to that time the most awesome thing I had ever seen in pool, only had one cue a Huebler, Travis Tesky owns it now, did not play league. Well after speaking to MR. Jones that day, he said get invovled in organized play and do not limit yourself to just one game. Well about 18 years or so later I own and operate a league, do enough cue repair to have pay taxes on it, love to play one pocket, and now just run or assist in over 120+ weekly or monthly evnts a year, and just this past weekend got to referee my first true pro event.

your brother is an awesome ambasador for the sport, just about a month ago put on a pool clinic for league players at JR Pockets and had the 5.00 fee (yes 5.00 for insturction from a pro not 50, 100,200 but 5.00) and the 50 + players inattendance fees where donated to a charity.

Well Badi is going to do atleast 3 more events, I'll make sure he hears about this, cause this man can put together an event.

OK, I didn't get past the "dead set" part, cause you're wrong... I believe the quote was, and this is from memory (a good one) "Which leads me to believe," which is nowhere close to "dead set," sir..

Like you with the "yelling"... If you can't get your fricken facts straight, and you're gonna put words into my mouth, then I'm done with you!..

Well the photos of the shot are posted the notification of the shot clock has been verified by a player and spectator in posts in the event. I refed all three days, if you want start throwing my rep around then you have my permission. but i hope you can pile it up over six feet cause would'nt see you piling on.

Congrats to all the players for playing there best, giving the spectators a great show.

{I have a real problem with the way the semi-finals and finals of the Ultimate 10-Ball Championship was held.. After not having a shot clock throughout the entire tournament, one was instilled for the finals, and loser's brackett finals of the men's tournament.. How can this be allowed to happen?..}

I just wanted to say that all throughout the entire weekend, I heard many people talking about the professionalism that you displayed while refereeing. Although there were some problems with other referees, you could always hear people follow their complaints up with "but that tall guy with the glasses is the absolute best. He's on top of everything!" Personally, I think you set a new standard for professionalism with the way you did your job during this event. You are IMO, the absolute best!
