Chapter 6, Departure from Texas

Then I played the bartender at Pit Stop a race to 5 for $100 and beat him 5-1 in BCA 8 ball.

The guy actually wants to play me again.

This sounds condescending...like you are scoffing at the thought he wants to play again and thinks he can beat you. Just because you win 1 set 5-1 doesn't mean you are the better player as a heads up. You may be, but one set doesn't mean sht when comparing 2 people and their pool skillz.

I've been told I must get the name of the professional who is helping you or else one of the ladies on this site will beat me..

I don't know whether I want the answer or not now..

Who is it? :D

The last session I was in, we went back and forth for 7 hours with neither of us being up more than one set until the end when I took two in a row. Several back-to-back sets with scores of 5-2 going in each of our favor.

You know, if you're going to Florida, you might need a boat. Anyone here have a good picture of a boat?

That and he could be setting up for a robbery later

Bad Math

At $100k a year you are making about $50 an hour and would probably have benefits. So, even after your moderately successful day of $263 you would have been $137 short of where you would be with said career. Additionally, you dont go to work and leave $900 with your boss because you didnt do your job well. You realize how silly your comment sounds, right?

If i had a choice of a Guaranteed salary of $100K per year starting pay at a decent career that I had enough skill to actually do. Or do what I do right now, I would chose to do what I do right now even though a lot of times I struggle to survive or even know where my next meal is coming from.

People will do what they want to do. Most of us posters have other priorities than pool (job/family) yet we spend a ton of time on this forum reading and posting about pool during times that we are unable to get out and play. This person gets enjoyment from posting her exploits and alot find amusement in it. Thats all this should be. Who are we to judge or tell someone to do something else because there is a ton of risk in their choice? The road less traveled is not for everyone and will have more pitfalls than the most common paths.

<----I do find entertainment in reading about how tough it is to meet a daily nut with $5 games.

Who's to say what another person prefers? Some people like to be whipped for crying out loud. Money isnt everything.to everyone. Now myself, no possible way i could do what Rhea is doing

The problem with this book is that all of the chapters are getting jammed up with responses by the haters and naysayers, ain't nobody got no time for that! Let the girl play her game.....

Turn down 100K to continue to break into trucks to sleep and to give weight playing $1 games? Seriously? And I thought the giving weight for $1 a game was going to be the most dead retarded thing I read in this thread...

Well known "PRO"...well, only a few people would qualify as a pro...unless you meant someone that plays pro speed? Or someone who plays against pros? In pro events? List goes on and on...

If it's not Eddie Wheat...hmmm...Tony Annigoni? Playing on the Rails: the Sequel?

i continually wade through all of the heckling, jeering, and unsolicited advice because i'm rather interested, too. most of us have been on the road or have made road trips, and our experiences were all different and unique. But this particular one is truly different.

So let it be noted that every other poster here is miles smarter, better educated, richer, plays better, gambles better, knows the pool lingo better, has better life priorities, and is more moral than Rhea. Got it.

But let's hear this story- without needing to get our own egos so deeply involved that they affect the story or it's outcome. Who cares who the "rich guy" or "the pro" are? Are you really trying to get involved and block any help she might get? Need to be part of the story? Personally, I don't even care if these people exist or not- I just want to hear what happens. It's been entertaining so far.

Also i'd like to point out some other obvious things: i don't have to believe everything i read. i don't have to believe that every story is the full story. And we don't need to judge the main character on whatever grounds and then dismiss the whole story based on that judgement.

Just FTR...Donnie has one used car lot in Clearwater, not Tampa. While he certainly does okay, he's no car lot millionaire. I sincerely doubt he would stake Rhea in anything.

I'm surprised you know donny's financial status he's pretty nitty but he just might have more money then you think.

But on a side note your right about him not stakeing nobody.

Lmao. You are so delusional.
The only real well known pro from Florida was Justin Hall, and there's ZERO chance he's letting you in his car. I'll just call him and verify it myself.

LMAO!...I didn't even bother calling him cause I knew that was ZERO chance.

How dare you attempt to bring sanity and reason into this thread.....:)
