Charlie Williams....#1 ranked Asian player?

I saw the whole "#1 Asian-American Player" too and thought about how funny it was.

There were guys like Thorsten Hohmann who was credited as 'World Champion', Mika Immonen ('former World Champion'), Rodney Morris ('former US Open Champion') and it almost seemed like they couldn't think of a designation for Charlie, but I guess because his company was behind the commercial, he needed to be in it.

Don't know why. Its not like he added much credibility to it.

#1 most misunderstood, disliked and badmouthed asian american player in the world.

It's good to see that there are plenty more people who share my sentiments

LOL. great post. Yeah i have to admit, his commentaries need some work. Sure im no expert, but i've done video content for 6 years, and needs some work.

I watched it too and was pretty annoyed with CW's commentating. His two favorite words are "philosophy" and "clever". Through the whole match he kept saying how " filipinos are great at this, filipinos are great at that, that's the difference in how filipinos play, blah blah blah". Could he want anymore desparately to BE filipino?
I watched all three matches yesterday, and I thought Charlie did a pretty good job commentating. I thought he was very respectful and professional. I really wouldn't mind to hear him commentating again.

I don't think Tang Hoa would be giving up the 6 ball to Charlie Williams unless you are backing him, he certainly wouldn't be doing it with his own money. Charlie Williams was the only player beating Efren several times in a row in tournament play in recent memory.

Keyword: you said tournament

$$$$$ action and tournaments are two different games.

Just the sound of his voice annoys me. I guess because I just don't like him or respect him as a person. Anyone who paid a pile of $$ to be involved in that sham of a tournament he held last year, at the Hyatt in Jax, probably feels the same.

LOL. I don't think Tang would be giving him the 6 ball in a tournament. I am pretty sure Charlie Williams could get a lot of backers for any amount playing Tang getting the 6 and I think Tang would have to play with his own money because no one in their right mind would back this game.

Well, I am Asian-American & I played Charlie up in Chicago about 3 weeks ago. I can believe he's #1. But i'm #2. :)

LOL, what happened to Santos Sambajon and Jose Parica?

MY TITLE: #1 Unknown Pool Player of Sh#t Hole Tavern

As far as income, talent, charisma, sportsmanship, and consistency I would say the #1 Asian AMERICAN player is Jeannette Lee. Thats my opinion. Of course CW probably could give her weight. I'm just putting everything in the whole mix.
By the way anyone know why Charlie's last name is Williams? Is it an adoptive fathers name? Just curious.

Charlie has an informal conversational style... different but not bad, in my opinion. I just want Mitch to go away; something about him drives me insane.

PS Regardless of the ranking given to Charlie in those Dragon Promotion commercials, they are shockingly low-quality. Perhaps they are going for the 'Wayne's World' look ;)

I definitely like Tang over Charlie in 9 or 10 ball but giving up the 6? Are you taking some meds or something?

he could probably still get the 6 ball from Tang Hoa and not like it one bit.
