Check this amazing runout video, 15 ball Honduran rotation, by Tony Sorto

I don't know how to make a cue table diagram, but I'll just tell you how they're set up and then you can make it and I'll tell you if it is right.

If you're standing where you rack the balls then to your right you would put the 1 2 3 on each diamond before the side pocket, and then the 4 5 6 on each diamond past the side pocket, and then the 7 8 9 on each diamond on the end rail where you would break from, and then the 10 through 15 you put on the other 6 diamonds on the other side rail.

You have to run them in order, no combos, and you cant run into any balls at all not even slightest nudge. Doing it like this you will see that 4 of the balls have to be banked.

When playing in a ring game, are safeties allowed or what? What happens on scratches? In the kitchen?

I have played this game a few times and seem to recall it being called French Pool. Why I don't know. Anyone ever hear of this?

The rules as I know them:

You have to hit the lowest numbered ball and anything you make on a legal shot counts for you.

Scratches are played out of the kitchen and some places play that you cannot shoot any ball that is above the side pocket. Otherwise you cannot shoot any balls that are in kitchen directly.

Balls made on a foul spot on the foot spot and don't count.

The penalty for hitting any ball except the legal object ball is the point value of the ball you hit with a minimum of six.

Safeties are not allowed but there is no penalty for playing them other than disgrace. There is no "shoot again" option for the incoming player so it's on the honor system that you didn't try to play safe. In two player games the players often play two way shots that end up safe and this is not really frowned on while obvious safeties are.

In the initial set up the one and two are not used and the game starts on the 3 ball and it is worth 6 points (1+2+3=6).

I think that's about it - like I said rules vary from place to place.

Josh,

Donny describes Coreys setup like I did above, the 7, 8, 9, being on the rail on the side you would break from.

are you saying Coreys setup is actually like the table below with the 7, 8, 9, on the other end rail?

This layout is right except the 10-15. You have it backwards. It's been in numerical order 1-9 so why would you change it now? lol.

I put the order based on what I thought you were saying, lol. You could have just said starting from the 1st diamond on the right rail out them in order on every diamond. lol Anyway it should be good now! Thanks Donny, I'm gonna bet the guys here and see if any can get out!

Yes this is it. Remember no bumping into balls, no combos and numerical order.

Does anybody think they can do it?

Have seen some Latinos playing a similar game in that they started with all the balls placed on the rails but did not give the game too mauch attention altho the player in the video made some really nice banks.

strangely i was trying this same exact layout yesterday... this is extremely difficult and requires top notch positional skills..... ..... if an amateur runs half of this i would be impressed.

Finally somebody with a brain. Even if you do get lucky and play perfect to get to the 13 ball, you still have to make the bank on the 13 and 14.

From your first post this is the pattern I was sure you were talking about, I know Cory too and how logical he is, he reminds me of my biz partner ALOT-they way they think, my biz partner cant make 2 balls in a row but their brains are alike, anyways....

I thought of that pattern years ago when I could only make 3 balls in a row and meesed around with it, 20 something years later I have zero chance of running it out. I believe that some elite top pro's could do it like Cory did but a great deal of time would be necessary, nobody is gonna do it twice in a row EVER.

Can you do it??? or get close??

hope your good man,

best
eric
