Bob,
Great pictures as always! Thanks. Saw many faces I know, but many I do not recognize.
Dave
Thanks Dave.
I had plans on putting names with each picture, but there were so many players and there was some confusion with doing the draw/byes; plus, I was playing myself - so, I just went for taking pictures and trying to get as many different ones I could, when I could.
Too bad you're not going to DCC - this will be my first time and I'm really excited about it.
Bob B.
i was able to take some pictures at the tournament and play - it was great seeing so many players coming to chet's memorial.

max was using a "paper" rack. 9ball hardly ever moved, and he always seem to make the wing ball off the break. Interesting.
Max won the hot seat match case game against Gilbert giving him 4 games on the wire, but not sure what happened after that.
I ended up beating Arturo Rivera with a 2 game spot in a race to 8, 8-6. That got me into the 7/8th spot and I ended up losing my next match. Not to bad for a 153 player field!!
yeh max's paper rack was interesting
although i dont think he should have used it
he did make a ball almost every time, but not the nine ball
but at pro speed making a ball is all he really seemed to need
sorry about caps
too lazy to rewrite
What does PAPER rack mean?
A solution is for the ref/TD to mark the balls and remove the rack. For special cases like a frozen 10 ball you could have a special marker that restores the line of the two balls precisely.... So when balls would land on the rack, he seemed to prefer the solution that he would move the balls, then the rack, and then he would replace the balls. In one of these games later on, it was a dry break and balls were on the rack, but a low ball was frozen to the 10 on the rack. Much discussion from the opponent who didn't want Max to move and replace, but also didn't want to have to shoot on/ across the rack, either.
