chezka is a monster! she is worthy of "favorite player" consideration from anyone male or female. in 10 years she might be the best player in the world. she might be now, actually...
I said a while back that she will dominate women's pool if she continues at the way she is progressing.
She is still a bit young and hasn't gotten all the defensive moves down pat, but her "firepower" is far greater than almost any of the women players.
What I like about her is she doesn't take all day to shoot...she reminds me of young Earl. Also, she plays a power game...she doesn't play bunt pool, pachinko pool.
Hard and straight. She plays more like a man, than a woman. She is a power player.
I think learning to play in the Philippines teaches you to hit the ball a bit harder. The tables there aren't the best in the world. Lots of times you are playing in places that have no air conditioning and on slow cloth and lousy tables. You have to hit them harder to move the cue ball around the table and also to keep the object on track.
I've played on tables there where the table beds were made of concrete and the cloth looked like a blanket. Never mind that the table was in a place outdoors in like a patio area with cars and motorcycles riding up and down the street 15 feet from the table.

she already dominates womens pool at age 17. she could dominate the entire sport if she keeps at it.the only thing separating her from the top men is experience, and she'll get that eventually
in the Philippines, we usually put another thin cloth before the actual table cloth. there's what we call "cheap simonis" which is a fake/imitation of the real simonis cloth. this cloth plays slow. so the fake simonis + extra cloth + humidity = significantly slower roll. i will not even mention dead rails. LOL
Agree. Though it is not really fair to compare different eras. Aside from different equipment, the lesser/fewer top competitors in those days would not really push players in those days. Just like any of the lower tier MMA fighters would kick Chuck Norris axx easily. I mean Chuck was "badass" but he was slow....badass slowwww

I would also like to thank Chinook Winds Casino and the Western Bca for putting on this event.
With 100 men and 29 women players they fell a little short of the full fields.
But on an up note, they will pay $10,000 for first for the men and $4000 for first for the women, which i think will bode well for future events and will continue to attract top players.

How was chuck orris slow? He was/is a master level black belt in tang soo do(the same discipline me and my brother take) he was a legit competitor in karate and also learned/started while in the service over in Okinawa n japan

The women are going to have no chance against Chezka in very short order. She just plays a different style of game than the rest of the ladies.
A couple of things I noticed...
Allison/top female pros makes the connect-the-dots outs very nicely and probably better than Chezka. Always perfectly inline etc. The big difference is, when they DO get out of line, they have a much harder time recovering and their make% on those touchy, jacked up, power shots drops off sharply. This is where Chezka has the big advantage IMO. She shoots those out-of-line, jacked up, touchy shots like hangers. She gets through the tough racks much better. The second thing I noticed was her position play. She takes routes that you don't see any of the other women play. Advanced routes, that are required to get through the very tough racks. The third, is her aggression. When there is a slightly off angle combo, one that all the top men would shoot, I noticed Allison play safe. Chezka shoots in those same situations. This too will allow her to achieve a higher level than the rest of the women field.
Congrats to Skyler and Chezka. Both are amazing for the game and fun to watch!
