I am going to be in Chicago this weekend. I am going to try and get a little free time, if anyone would like to meet up. I have been to most of the pool rooms, but don't know people in Chicago that play pool. Any tournaments that anyone knows about? I will be in north Chicago mostly, but will also be in south Chicago at times.

Rudys has ACS/Pechauer tourny Saturday. alot of the better players in town usually show up for this.

Rudy?s Place

December 6, 2008
Entry $30

Open to amateur players, membership to ACS not required

If you're on the south side, hit me up and maybe we could get together. If I don't answer my phone, I'm probably at work.

Ok, sounds good! Thanks!

I'll be around as well. Besides playing, there's a 3 cushion tourney this weekend at Chris's (near NW) that will have some awsome players worth checking out. They'll still be renting out the regular tables so let me know.

Hope you enjoy your visit!

I will check it out if I can. I went to a big 3-cushion tournament a while back at Chris's. Grand Prix event or something like that maybe. If I remember correctly, pretty much everyone was there. Thanks for the info!

Bring your snow gear - we have 4-5" an hour west of Windy.

I will make sure to stay away from there then. We have been getting a little bit of snow in MN, but it was real cold today.

Hey Ross, I did not see this thread until now. Just wanted to let you know that Chris's on Milwaukee has an open handicap nine ball tournament on Sunday evening, starting at 7:00 for practice then 8:00 for the tourny. $10, I think. Not sure how they handicap first timer's. Anyway, I can't make it for that but, I'll try to catch you earlier in the day. If you are an early riser, we can hook up in the morning. I think they open at 9:00am but, I'll check.

Tournament starts Friday night thru Sunday...$250 entry fee. It is my understanding that it is a qualifier for World Championship...anyways, world class players are expected.

V: What time does it start each day?

Have you talked with S lately? I spoke to him Monday. in again.:frown:

I just returned from the 3 cushion tournament and it is something to see. world class 3 cushion is something to watch. I saw Mercedes Gonzales put a hurt on one gentlemen to the tune of 25 to 7, she had a high run of 7 in that match!! Saw some close matches as well unfortunately I only had a couple of hours to watch but there are players from all over the US and as far away as Equador!! The tables were all recovered this week and they have added two more carom tables to the back room so they have a total of 7 carom tables now. Awesome event!!

I don't know what time it starts but Chris's opens at 9:30 am to 3:00 am.
I'm going to take a ride to see S today and then go see the tournament.

Chris's is starting the matches at 11 am and I forgot to mention they are having a raffle for some VERY nice Schuler cues.
