Finally getting around to posting a few thoughts about the Brickyard tourney. I had the opportunity to meet Chris and watch some of his matches. All I can say is there are not enough o's in smooth to describe this guy

I watched his first match, and now even more than before believe in playing rack your own. I like playing that way because I dont want someone to think I put up a bad rack on them on purpose. But he faded several bad racks and never batted an eye.

It was a loser break tourney, so Chris would win, rack, and the guy would get all but a couple balls above the side pocket (made the nine once I think). The other guy would win, rack, and they would hardly move when Chris broke. And no it wasnt cause he has a weak break

Chris finally had to start checking the racks and the guy acted like Chris was doing something wrong! I dont think he was bad racking Chris on purpose, I really just dont think he knew the difference.

It was great watching you play Chris, and I must say I thought you handled that match with class. Much more than a lot of players would or could.

It was then that I realized how much the name "Smooth Criminal" fit this guy

thanks woody.
you are right most players would have cried a little in that match with what went down.
thanks again the smooth criminal

I think someone in the action forum said it one time and it just stuck. But as always, I could be wrong.

I'm wondering

AZ nut huggers there everywhere.

Why would you make that comment? The guy finally gets o see Chris play, and he's impressed. Guess maybe you play good enough that you've never been impressed by anyone and wanted to let them know.

Thanks man, but his statement is really no big deal to me. I love it when people make up screen names so they can post stuff just to try and throw an insult around. At least I hope thats what they did, otherwise they have been around for almost a year, had nine posts, and thats the biggest contribution they can make to the forum

Woody <----- not on anyones nuts, just impressed with how he handled himself. A lot of players feel that when they get up to that level they have to turn into a$$holes.

The best thing about Chris, IMO, is he has the same game face winning or losing.

IF I was his $takehor$e, I would think that is at least a big part of his success. I see so many players be their own worst enemy.

Chris looks like a guy digging a ditch, he just keeps digging (and winning).

Count me in as a nut hugger if you need to...
