CJ Playes the Ghost In Rotation.

amateur he almost rattled the last ball......

just kidding, looks like CJ is back in stroke, WOW!!!!

lets see 15 balls in the same hole, now a week later 15 ghost, whats nexts week plan? Scary:thumbup:

Good job C

I just fired my video camera up and gave this a whirl. And I have nothing to show. lol

First 5 breaks and the tables were terrible for any kind of run. I finally got a decent break and messed it up.

Two in a row is pretty impressive!!

I hear ya.

Trying to run 15 balls in rotation is real tough.

meh...i haave done before. once in like 2.5 decades!:o:D:D

until he runs a rotation rack in one pocket, i am still on the fence about his skills.:D

i kid. cj- you bad, man.

The conventional way is what's hard. Trying to hit a contact point or "ghost ball"

Is it becoming more clear on how easy pool can be using the Touch of Inside, and how I play the ZONES? I'm basically playing all the shots like they're straight in and playing the same hit on the cue ball and same stoke on every shot (if possible). This is how to develop a high level of consistency, there's other ways, this one is just the easiest to develop.

The conventional way is what's extremely difficult - trying to hit a contact point or "ghost ball" with different spins and speeds would be a nightmare for me to do. More than anything it wouldn't be any fun.

The TOI is enjoyable, especially when your opponent is the one playing the "traditional method", this is what I can give "short stops" the 5/7 and the break or 3 balls playing one pocket. It's not because I'm "better," it's because I'm simply playing a different Game...one that's much more effective.

I haven't seen CJ hit a ball since the old espn challenge of champions days when they were batting those ugly elephant balls around the table. I think he's hitting them better now than then.
I ran a 15 ball rack on a tough GC once years ago but I was flying by the seat of my pants. Nothing like these calm controlled runs. Great job.

wow, that's a great memory.

wow, that's a great memory....that's one of the things that retired me for awhile. I'd been in the finals of the ESPN Championships 3 years in a row, then we went and they were using balls with what looked like "world maps" all over them in abstract colors. We had no advanced warning, I still don't know who made that decision.

Efren beat me and I finished 5th that year. Yeah, my game has been rebuilt now and it's much stronger....just no "pro tour" so I gotta create one asap. ;)

Play Well, J. J. - mike b. still playin up there? CJ

Rodney has been beating the 15 ball ghost in races to 11 lately. And he plays that the 15 ball has to be the last ball pocketed. I'm curious, other than Rodney, Efren, and Ronnie, has anyone else ever even gotten close to pulling this off?

I beat it 7/5, 7/4 the last time I tried it and it was insanely difficult

He can play the Ghost on my table for as much as you want to bet....the window is open...I have a lot of respect for Rodney and his Game, However, beating the ghost on that table is not possible {for anyone} on a regular basis.

I beat it 7/5, 7/4 the last time I played the 15 ball ghost, and it was insanely difficult, I had to make combinations, sometimes three ball ones consistently to win and it's my home table.

...I can give "short stops" the 5/7 and the break ...

I wish I could take that game to work out with you on a regular basis. Since I moved to Detroit a year or so ago it seems like 9 ball action is really near nonexistent status. Most of the money games switched to one-pocket and finding a fair 9 ball game is a rarity. Sure would be nice to play a legitimate champion with any regularity at a game where I wouldn't feel bad if I went broke at it.

I especially like his analysis on each shot and he tells you what he using - a lot of players in instructional vids will just say "I have to get come over for postion on the 6 etc. " but CJ is telling you what he using to get there. VERY USEFULL for me at least.

Yeah, Mike has recently gotten back into it since his kids have moved out of the house. He's playing the only thing we have around here -bar box 8 ball. He just won a tourney that was posted here in the tournament section. My buddy said he's looking for sparring partners so I told him to give him my number. It would be invaluable to log some hours playing someone of his caliber and experience. It's nice to know a pro remembers him!

up around the Milwaukee area was some good action back then

Yeah, he played very well, I was up there with Big John and Doug Smith many years ago to play him. He was leery of me, but he played Doug a few times, not when I was there though. We went up and played Kevin Stannel, and Terry Romine up around the Milwaukee area and won some good scores.

@ 0:43 seconds when the camera angle switches over it almost looks like you're going straight into running racks right after the intro!

Well done!

This is great to watch. Every ball looks so firm and controlled. It's almost like how you see guys play on slow bar table cloth, driving every shot him pretty hard and the cue ball just drifts here and there. CJ, what's your cloth?

It's Simonis 860 ... it's' pretty new, just had the table redone two weeks ago and it's playing really well. Mary and I moved it to the new place in Ft. Worth, that's my first "table moving endeavour" and hopefully my last. Mary Avina put the table completely together her self, which is incredible to me, I have trouble putting together a break rac. ;)
