Mary has had videos on the net for at least 5 years-probably a lot longer

Is she now a Texas Lass?

yes she has and never get tired of watching that girl, shoot pool of course even trick shots which are not my favorite area of cue sports.

Yeah, sorry to miss this. If Mary were live streamed in a challenger match, though, it would be a show and a half!

Hope to see you all on Saturday,

Yes, her videos have millions of hits world wide, and yes, she's been in Texas for about 9 months now.

Hope to see you all on Saturday, these are always a blast to do, especially with Mary Avina, she LOVES to play pool.

She's quite a talented artist as well.

We'll be doing some streaming video in the next couple of months and I'm sure Mary will make some appearances. Her game is improving daily, however, she has many other interests and talents outside of just playing pool. She's quite a talented artist as well, she painted the attached picture while Earl Stickland and I were eating before his interview.

Good for you guys. Great for the DFW area.
Wish this happened before I left.
Wittens is a great place.Excellent food,good people.:)

Sweet

This is a place you want to support. Super nice people, great food, and pretty nice gold crowns. I hit balls there from time to time when I can squeeze some practice in. I hope you pack out the place.

I'll also chime in that this is a great place. If you haven't been there in a while, they have new lights which help in the evenings. I don't think I'll be able to make it, as I have other priorities that day, but let us know how it went!

"down cycle" starting to change and take form to cycle back up to mainstream America

I agree, Frank, Richard, the owner and his wife are very hospitable and take care in making sure the place is well run. The food is surprising for a place that has the appearance of a Sports Pub....the Egg Rolls are delicious. The pool tables are Gold Crowns in very good condition, and the lighting/atmosphere is well done.

We have a much bigger plan in place that will come together as a reality show. I was approached and talked to a major producer in Dallas that wants me to do a TV show and it may be based out of Wittens, something along the lines of 'Bar Rescue / Hell's Kitchen'.

Only time will tell, they're putting together a budget to do a Pilot Show (realistically a 50k-70k project) sometime in September, for now we will be doing some filming, our main objective is to produce an entertaining and educational pool event in the DFW area. We appreciate everyone participating, this could turn into something special.

The future's looking bright for pool in many ways, I'm glad to see the "down cycle" starting to change and take form to cycle back up to mainstream America. 'The Game is the Teacher'.com

just "point and click" the balls in the pocket

Sorry about the scheduling, I was shooting for Sundays, but Wittens has league on Sundays and there was just too little time, and I didn't want to start early on a Sunday.

We may have to skip a week to go to the Tunica Tournament, however we intend to pick it up when we come back and do this weekly and go through a whole assortment of techniques, shots, position play secrets and of course "aiming and aligning" so you can just "point and click" the balls in the pocket (can it really be that easy?).'The Game is the Teacher'

So glad to hear that this is not a one time event! Would love to attend but I also have a prior commitment that I cannot get out of, otherwise I would be there. I am sure it will be a great success, and I look forward to attending the next one, hopefully I will find out about it at least a week or 2 in advance. Thanks CJ and Mary for doing this!

We're looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow afternoon, bring your "A" game.

We will be doing these on a regular basis and now have a couple places in Dallas that want to do a Sunday event as well. I have enough information for several two hour clinics and Mary Avina is full of enthusiasm for playing everyone pool and snooker.

If I find an A game on the way, I will bring it. If I have one when I leave, well you and Ms. Avina are truly masterful teachers!

We're heading down to Wittens now, hope you can make it this week, and if not we'll be doing this again after the Tunica Tournament.
