I guess I was mistaken, I actually enjoyed the life of being in a new spot and the possibilities, almost as much as winning the money,
Don't get me wrong, I was there to win the money, but I liked meeting people, and I make no distinction between rich or poor ,so I was usually welcome anywhere I went after they figured out I wasn't a cop or a serial killer, and that usually led to making money, I would have never known about, if a local didn't steer me.
I believe I was blessed, even though what I was doing I realize was wrong in so many ways , I should have been killed many times, but I thank God I'm still here.
I can't imagine going and doing those things nowadays, probably never make it out of town, before some 14 year old with pimples shot you multiple times, because he's a gangster.

First of all their treatment went well beyond merely questioning their understanding of the mechanics of the game. Maybe a poll should be put out there giving the casual poster a choice. Choice A would be for the forum to be a place where pros and champions can post without being harassed. Choice B would be open season for the peanut gallery to savage anyone at will when the casual poster has no idea what their credentials are.
It seems to always be the same small group of negative people, and every year or 2 a new voice will come and go, blathering the entire time.

Dr. Dave and Bob Jewett, have been flayed about as much as anybody on here, might want to ask them the secret to dealing with the Negative Norberts,

No it didn't -- show me if you think otherwise.

It's when they went all "Flat Earth" on us that things began hitting the fan.

I would say that we could have used a little more moderation when it came to dealing with certain personalities, but your all or nothing A or B option is quite disingenuous.
