Whoa, easy there chief, this aint rocket science, its just toothpaste. Probably start out with the equivalent of what you would use to clean 1 tooth, dont use water, a single sheet of paper towel should be fine. A little tape to protect the sides of the tip and a little more around the shaft, I would use painters tape (masking tape), it has user friendly adhesive. Dont let the toothpaste "soak" in, its cleaning properties come from the slight polishing compound in the toothpaste. It will also work wonders on your microwave door if it has scratches. Might also work well on pool balls and leave them with a minty fresh smell. (in that case I probably need some on my arse too):idea2::idea2::shocked2::shocked2:

This is off topic. But I've always had cats. And in early December my cat, Boswell, died at the age of 15 and 1/2. I miss her, she was my buddy.

I used some Colgate toothpaste tonight on my Joss shaft/ferrule. Seemed to work pretty good, got it pretty clean.
