Nice looking cue. Who refinished it? Who made the new shaft? Who did the horrible tip job? Never heard of boxed joint collars referred to as 'windows'.

As stated in the listing the cue was refinished, (and the new shaft was done) by Ryan at Ratues. Many on this forum can vouch for his work. As for the "horrible tip job", I assume that you are referring to the tip on the original shaft, well it the tip that was in place when I got the cue, and is in due need of being replaced. I have heard the "box" or "window" style rings called many things, sorry that it's not to your liking. Thanks for knocking my listing, I look forward to returning the favor in the future

Keep your panties on, I wasn't knocking your listing. The only thing I knocked was the tip job. As I stated before, it's a good looking cue. In fact, it's a great looking cue! I'd very seriously consider buying it were the case not stuck to it. Sorry for asking questions to find out more. Further, the tip question was an obvious joke for those with brains. Really, who cares who did a tip job, it must've been a joke. Additionally, I've owned several of these cues and know, and would tell anyone else, Stroud plain janes play like a million bucks!

Well it sounded like it to me too.

Just a few tips as I read your post and it seemed like a knock to me too. If you were really interested you can PM about a tip or other issue. The cue is nice and if you are going to post a negative where a guy is listing a cue for sale, it is a knock.

I like to cue too, and I wish him the best.

It kills me that someone is selling a cue, and the nitwits here want to knock the freaking tip....

I just had a guy asking about a Southwest I have on it and he wanted to know about the tips. I said they are original and have been chalked but hardly any play....but it was a big deal. Dings, scratches, shaft size etc., but freaking tips?

UGH

I hear ya, Ken. But if you break down my post, there is nothing but honest comments and questions. And before those, was a COMPLIMENT on the cue. In fact, the only that could even be considered a negative thing in my whole post was the word 'horrible' referring to the tip job, which is absolutely of no consequence as most of us here are capable of replacing a tip with our eyes closed. Further, just as you stated, it's just a 'freaking tip'....

Bad time of the month for some of you? Would it have been better if I would have remembered the smiley face after the tip joke?

Either way, if it isn't clear enough to some, I am not knocking this cue, and I don't care about the tip. Like the first words out of my mouth, NICE LOOKING CUE FOR CHRISTS SAKE!

Sweet looking JW there, sir!! Two questions:

1. Is it a 57" or 58" cue?

2. What is the diameter of the butt....about average or slightly fat?

Thanks,
Joe

Personally I didn't think the comment by half fast was a knock. The cue is damn good looking and well worth the price which was clearly acknowledged twice by hf. Reason I am posting is the same as Bama. What's the length?

jjm

Just so everyone knows, my panties have been pulled back up:rolleyes:
In regards to the length, with the one original shaft the cue is 57". The 2nd shaft was made longer for a total of 58" . And to Bama, I do not have a mic handy, but it does seem a little thicker in the back end. If it really comes down to it, the case does NOT have to go along.

Chris

Nice equipment! How about a bump for the goods and anything other than the barrosm v. Groundhogg threads at the top?

Received the cue and it is exactly as advertised. I've been looking for a cue like this, in great shape, for quite a while.

Thanks, Chris!

Oh, and the tip job was excellent! :D

p.s. Chris had the tips "freshened up" before sending the cue.
