My feeling has always been that if it is put On Display, it is there to be looked at.
Now, if I was playing and someone who looked like this was playing and revealing as much as she is, I would not be staring at her. I would be taking pictures. I would be like the guy who took this picture. ?Lets save this moment for posterity.?

For anyone who does not know, that is Shanelle Lorraine from Guam. Even though she seems to be living in Florida now.

She can play, and she's beautiful. I have a crush on her. Please don't tell her though. :)

i can't believe this is even a thread to be honest as your answer seems quite obvious, but as a woman, will respond. there is no doubt in my mind that women know exactly what they are doing when going into a poolroom with low cut or high cut shirts (if they are players) - for me, i am very aware of whether or not my chest will show when leaning down to take a shot. the only exception i can think of is if a girl that does not play is out on a date, etc. they want to look good for their date and they do not think in advance of the playability of their attire.

You're a girl???:D

It's funny seeing this post since I just had league last night and there was a young and pretty girl on the other team with a low cut blouse/shirt and the view was quite appealing. I kept telling the guy on my team how lucky he was to be playing her because had I seen her before making my roster out I would have intentionally matched myself against her. :D

Like I told a lady that asked me what I was looking at on the NY subway many moons ago when the micro-mini was the in-thing, I said, "If you didn't want anybody to look you wouldn't be wearing a dress that ends a foot and a half above your knee". Case closed. Johnnyt

Correcto... I always wondered why some females wear skirts too short and tops too small and what have you then cry when someone looks.. Are you kidding me?? In all honesty they want people to look or they wouldnt dress that way.. If they didn't why would they dress such a way for things to draw attention or be seen? Think on that.. Dont want people looking? Stop laying your stuff out to be seen..

When I lived in Memphis quite a few years ago there was this gorgous stripper who would come into the Rack on Saturday's after she danced wearing a low cut t-shirt. When she bent over you could see about 95% of everything she had, guys used to fall over themselves to try and get a look! I always wondered why they didn't just go to the strip bar, but I guess the mystery of the last 5% was worth tripping over themselves.

Maybe they were just too cheap to pay the $5 cover. :)

Use the skills we all honed to perfection in high school- look out of the extreme corner of your eyes.

Shanelle is absolutely gorgeous! She has that "soft look", Big brown eyes, and full pouty lips.

She has me curious, as to whether or not she posseses a humble personality as well.

If she needs to get married for U.S. citizenship I know just the person (and it's not me BTW...)

This Thread Is Useless Without Pictures.

Notice how all the gentleman are watching what's going on, on the table?

The photographer, on the other hand, has a valid reason to "stare".

I always liked this photo, for the form, EXTREME level (and thick?) cue, grip placement, and overall form.
The lines in this photo, are great. Notice the cue and long rail are perfectly parallel (in correct perspective).

And, it almost looks as if the chalk cube is being balanced on its corner, on the cue shaft.

fishing

Females are fishing when they hang the bait out. Some are fishing for anything they can catch, some are very picky about what they are fishing for and tend to forget that the same bait attracts all fish.

These women that forget that the bait attracts all fish sometimes get upset when a fish they aren't interested in pays too much attention to the bait. The solution is to be more careful where they hang the bait or get used to the idea that there are more fish out there than just the ones they are fishing for.

You are 100% right. My personal favorite is the girls that choose a short skirt for league night. Yeah, that's practical. Any girl who has played pool more than once knows what's visible in certain attire on a pool table. And if she is there to cause a stir, then she will wear "flashy" tops or bottoms. But I think you will find that most serious players will not.

As for the question, if someone dresses themselves in a way that shows some skin, why should anyone not be able to look? By all means, it's your right.

There was a girl shooting with a small gorup a bit ago in Jillians in Worcester, MA, wearing a short skirt. When she shot, ALL of her backside was exposed, I mean she might as well not have been wearing a skirt. Odd thing is that the people she was playing with did not say a word to her about it. She must have been there at least an hour like that.

I heard about someone who invented a chip that can be implanted in women's breasts so that they play music. This is because women complain that men only look at their breasts and don't listen to them.

Do the pool balls still fall out of the ball return tracks sometimes, and roll across the floor there?

And, when we hookup, I'll give you my cell number, in case you are witness to anything like that again in the future.

As a woman, I will agree that we women know exactly what we are doing in our presentation. We also make sure to let each other know just what we think about their decisions.

As for any moments of confusion or guilt: if she's making a stir, you're supposed to notice while not being a pig.

If she's a real poolplayer, dressed suggestively, it's twice as intentional and you should concentrate harder on the pool.

I like this reply above... kind of says it all.

For women, I believe, it depends on the situation. If we are out on a date and wear suggestive clothes, please look (but not stare). We did wear it to draw attention, but don't want rudeness from it.

Most women who compete in pool do not wear suggestive clothes and almost take great strides to ensure that "accidental showings" don't happen. However, I have seen many of times at tournaments where women don't realize they are exposing themselves.

On the other hand, some others are intentionally doing it.

Don't you think that the very attractive top female players are using their good looks for financial gain. Jennifer Barreta is a good player. She is an amazingly good looking woman. Do you think if she played at her level and looked like Danny Basavich she would be getting the attention she gets. Look at some of the poses in the pool magazines of women. I don't mean pics of them shooting, I mean poses. Some are lying on a pool table posing. Do you want to see Efren Reyes wearing provacative clothes lying on a pool table? The difference with men is that other men want to meet the great players. Looks are not the issue. This is important since the overwhelming majority of pool players in the world are men. Jannette Lee is a rare exception. She is extremely attractive and a great pool player. Either way most men want to watch her play. By the way I think she is even more attractive in person than in the magazines. Hard to image that.
