Group #2 is sold....
Group #1 is sold....

Mexican coco......has all the prominent colors of the species.
I'll call these 1.5 but a little larger, and 18" but a little longer.
Plenty large enough for cues.
Second picture in each group are the pieces rotated 90 degrees so you can see both faces.
There may be a couple small spots of rough saw left that didn't plan off but still plenty large enough. One piece in group #1 has a very small face check that should disappear when it goes round. Any sap you see will not come into play when building cues.

Are you buying or selling cue making machinery?

If not, your posting in the wrong area.

Well Dave........I certainly do apologize again! It was to my understanding that we were allowed to post in this section for cue related building material also. Being a cue maker, things are sometimes abstract in our minds though.

I hate bringing up a dead subject and beating it with a tomato stake but, myself, I guess I just don't understand the logistical problems involved with selling cuebuilding related items in a section that will be MORE frequented by cuemakers than a section that is already over flooded with billiards related items that have to be "bumped" literally 4-5 times per day to stay in a visible range to potential customers. Maybe I'm missing the grand scheme of things here.

How hard would it be to sub section a spot for our group to accommodate others with items that are of benefit to them and and their potential customers without having to wade through a sea of unwanted cues, cases and other billiard related items that have nothing to do with building cues? It didn't seem to be a problem when certain people complained about the "raffles" being held in the W/FS section.

Personally, when I go to the W/FS section and have a look, the first two pages are it.........the rest is blah, blah, blah in my mind and I'm confident that it is in other minds also unless these other people I have talked with have been lying to me.
Hopefully you can understand my point and we can get something done for the betterment of everyone involved.

Whats in a heading?

I know Ryan & a few others already said it last time around so I'll beat a dead horse here....why not change the heading of this sub forum to include cue building materials?

Great post
I myself would not even look in the wanted for sale section for anything but finished cues.

I do have to give credit where credit is due............
Thanks Mr. Wilson for the bump.....both groups are sold now.

Ditto, of coarse if it is the intention to make this a better place to cohabitate. I love a place to find only " cue maker related items " prolly save me 30 minutes a day looking. Hey if you add that up over a year its about a week solid..... fix this little problem and I can take a vacation.... SWEET

I also agree that this is the place to buy and sell cue building products. This type of product get lost in the For Sale section. Thanks Jim

Dear Mr. Wilson,

I used to watch you on TV all the time with Dennis the little blond haired kid,
so if your not selling cue making machinery your posting those cue cases in the
wrong area.

Cue making machinery would be 50% useless if we didn't have pretty wood to turn.
BTW Dave, I got my 5 pieces today, all very nice.

............and you realize that no matter what section it is, there will be those complaining that their thread is being pushed down because it isn't a machine.

Dave, I believe that is just an easy out for you. I don't believe that it would have any effect or very little if any. This would be a very easy fix. Don't misunderstand me as I understand where you and Mike are coming from on this. If you do it here...where's it all stop? Group after group of members bombarding you with requests to have a sub section for every little individual item.

Here's my proposal.......... a sub section somewhere in the CUES section at yours and Mike's and whoever has to be consulted with discretion. The section is basically used to promote cue building material...be it wood, metal, plastics, leather, glue, finish...any and all material used in constructing billiard cues.
I'll forward to where ever it needs to go, reasonable payment for the IT work involved in setting the section up.

That's how strongly I feel the section is needed. This board has grown tremendously over the last few years and will continue to grow in the future. To stand still and think that everything that the board has to offer now should never be changed is actually a step backwards.

Sincerely,
Dave

I got it!!! we just start a thread about a machine, blah, blah.. then in our signature, we advertise what we're really trying to sell, short and sweet.....and even better, 'LEGAL' by example. Could be the answer
