I just read on Onepocket.org taha Cole Dixon is Hospitalized & has to have surgery. It sounds serious

It's 'Dickson'.
And, I am so sorry to hear that he is having health problems.
He is a tremendous player and has the heart of a lion.
I truly hope for the best.
Thank you for the heads up on this.

Here is the OnePocket.org article

Cole Dixon Hospitalized

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

We just received word that Cole Dickson was hospitalized. He is suffering from liver cancer. He is currently unconscious and under heavy medication right now.

Keith is quite upset about it, as this was somebody he grew up with. Even though you don't see somebody in a long while, they still hold a place in your heart as you grow old.

I know that the majority of the members here know who Cole Dickson is, and so I thought this would be a good place to let those know who might be interested.

We're going to try to find out more information and where he is hospitalized. I know Keith wants to talk to him too, if he regains consciousness.

For those who know Cole, please send your positive thoughts his way. He needs them more than ever now.

Friend

John COLE Dickson is a very good friend of mine and I really hope him the best. I'll stake him for this important set he's getting ready to run. He has enough heart to get through it and come out fine. I'll be here waiting for you partner when you get out of there.

George Breedlove introduced me to Cole about five years ago in Las Vegas. I'd heard a lot about him but had never seen him play. He was courteous and congenial to me and I wish him every possible success in meeting the challenge he now faces.

Hang Tough Cole

I was just a kid and Cole wasn't old enough to drive- We used to play P pool at the Golden Q in Hayward in about 67- Then about midnight take off for the city to play at Cochrane's and the Palace till dawn. Saw him play Boston Blacky one pocket all night and take him down. Never knew him well. But had a great time, the little we spent together. Ran into him years later in Tahoe, as he wanted to become a poker player- He was better at pool !!
