8 ball on the baby tables should be a breeze for everyone here!!

I planned on going to this event when it first got posted. Had to cancel since I just started a new job. Can't wait to watch it on youtube!

I was going to ask you why your name wasn't on the current players list. Kinda figured something like that darn job got in the way. :)

I really do want to play in one of these events. They have been my favorite tournaments to watch.

Still time to sign up.

Want to face off with Justin Bergman, David Matlock, Chris Melling, Chris Reinhold etc?

They are on the players list.

I can't make the trip in person, but I'm looking forward to seeing some of the matches after the fact on YouTube. I've watched several from Louisiana and KC so far. Other than the commentator's constant sales pitch for the Ultimate Pool League reminding me of Kevin Trudeau and the IPT, the matches have been pretty enjoyable.

I'd love to. Hopefully they come to Phoenix so I don't have to miss work.

I found it rather odd that browsing through the link for this tournament listed above I didn't find an address or room pictures or really much of anything but the dates and the rules and the name of the place. I found their web sight here, https://wreckroomunderground.com/ Not much to it but it does have the address and a link to a map. Not a complaint by any means, It just seems like they've missed a huge opportunity to
promote themselves.

I think this place opened not long ago and has tried to stay a little under the radar. My son played in a tourney there not long ago and liked it.
Their website is a little weak.

'A little weak'???? that's a joke of a site. why would they 'stay under the radar' if they just opened? do they hate $$? this day-n-age you gotta have a FB site with pics. should have pics on their web page too. does look good: https://www.google.com/search?clien...ZcTBpa1Z6Q2htcFdleGxCM183aEsyX0xtOHBxc3pwTEpa

I played there once and done.
There are no coverings on the full wall of windows which makes shooting in that direction during day just awful.
Raw concrete floor is a little tough on the legs of an old fart like me.
The flyer says Denver but it really in Westminster north of Denver.

Yes I believe it has been less than a year since it opened. Kind of an industrial building, I thought it was going to be a membership type deal but now no.
Pretty much just pool mister.

Hard to understand reading rules that are similar to the past, said in a different manner.

So does the below rule allow shooter to shoot the balls in the kitchen, the any direction seems to say just that.

4j - If the cue ball, on a legal break:
(1) Goes “in-off”, a loss of turn occurs and the incoming player is
awarded one visit with cue ball in hand, to be played from baulk, in any
direction.

Yes. On the break, if the cue ball goes into a pocket the opponent gets ball in hand in the kitchen, but can shoot at any ball on the table. There is no requirement to shoot out of the kitchen and bank back into it in order to hit a ball in the kitchen. If the cue ball jumps off the table on the break, the opponent gets ball in hand anywhere on the table.

As near as I can figure, they feel that BIH anywhere is too big a penalty for the breaker because many breaking scratches in 8-ball on a bar table are caused by multiple balls kicking the cue ball around rather than an error on the breaker's part. On the other hand, there are times when the opponent being limited to having to shoot out the kitchen is a handicap, and they should not be penalized like that through no fault of their own. Finally, jumping the cue ball off the table is clearly a breaker's error, so the BIH anywhere is justified.
