Thanks, i'm really excited to see how it turns out myself ;)

That forearm is unbelievable. The veneer work is not only superb the colors are great and the paper veneers just top it all off. Can't wait to see the butt sleeve and completed cue.

Thanks, Jive!

You could buy him a beer for me :D:D
Jeff (AZ'er Pooldawg8) surprised me at the PA VNEA State 8-Ball Championships with a drink last night & said it was from you. Jack Daniels and I both give you our thanks!

I've run into Jeff each of the last 3 years at States & this was the best hello he's given me yet :-)

Thank you (and everyone else) for the kind words. I argued against the chartreuse veneer but Jive was insistent. Even after mocking up the veneers, I wasn't convinced but now that it's coming together, I see the wisdom of his choice.

I had no idea that Jeff was really gonna buy you a beer so i'm equally surprise!
Looks like i owe jeff some beer AND whiskey!~

In any case i love your choice of words, never had the word wisdom associated to me before...but there's always a first..:thumbup::thumbup:

Jeff

Now for the 4 pointers to be in place and cleaned up:

Points are in and Bob did a beautiful job on the bridge points.
He's started inlaying the chain link ringwork and applied a layer of sealer on the wood, see how the amboyna glistens!

:: Update 5th March ::

My inlay for points are in and i think it looks fantabulous! It's .050 oversize at this point.

Here's a link to a video clip of how Bob cut the forearm propeller pockets:

Awesome Cue ...
" That "bridged-point" work is some of the very best I have seen" :bow-down::bow-down:

Man... where have I been on this one... completely missed it. What a great cue! Bob's work is amazingly clean and precise... extremely underrated maker.

Love how that Amboyna just comes to life when the finish hits it. Bob's chain link ring work is my favorite of that style.

Congrats on another beauty Jive! :bow-down:

i love bobs work. i regularly check his website and his youtube channel for videos. im not quite sure why i havent pulled the trigger yet...
