The comment came up when I was getting a friend and apa team mate on my usapl team . This friend had played on an apa team with the usapl lo and I for a month before he dropped out for personal reasons. And now is back on my apa team and wants to play usapl with me also.
Naturally what he should start at comes up. The lo says 515. I say what ? He aint as good as me and you started me at 460. Then I remind the lo that we are both apa 5/6 and he was aware that my friend and I played 3 sets of race to 7 call pocket 8 ball ..9 ball and then 10 ball. I won 7-5...7-4..7-4.
The lo replied my friend has a hair better offence and I am better on defense and that's why I will win 90% of the time . He agreed to start him at 500. When I balked at that the lo commented he probly started me too low and was sticking with 500 for my friend.
So I am a lil puzzled by his comments and think he is making an assumption based on seeing my friend play a total of half a dozen matches and watching me play for years.
