So when you staked Cliff in the IPT stuff, did that make you feel like the SLAVE MASTER?

Since Cliff was your horse, did you feel like he was your BOY?!

And this comes from the same guy who started a thread for single guys about importing his girlfriend from CHINA and how those women are the best. (which has since been suspiciously removed)

Let me guess, she is demure and "knows her place"

Be interesting to know what things come out of your mouth when SHE pisses you off.

Your true colors are showing.

Wow, you are a sick boy. Those words came from your mouth, not mine. I hope for your sake, Cliff never reads this and finds you. You better remain underground is all I have to say. Cliff and I have been friends and remain friends to this day.

I staked him for the same reason I staked, Ronnie, Keith, Bob Hunter, Danny Medina, Tang Hoa and others. Because I felt they had a legitmate chance to win.

And please leave my girlfriemd out of this Mr. big mouth. I don't care who you are, you are treading on thin ice. If you are so brave, come up and introduce yourself sometime. At no time did I ever imply that Chinese women were any better than anyone else. I simply stated that I had met a wonderful woman in China and she had a friend who wanted to meet an American man as well.

Amy is quite intelligent and is well known in her field. She owns her own business and is by no means subservient to me. We treat each other as equals and have always been respectful in our relationship. I feel fortunate to have found her.

I think in this post you have TOLD ON YOUR SELF! It is you whose true colors are showing!

The sad reality may be they won't care. It is probably civil anyway and they won't get involved. In the grand scheme of things it is small potatoes.

I think you've seriously underestimated current cullinary trends and the resultant global demand for small potatoes

SUPERSTAR...<<It just so happened that in the case of OJ, he COULD afford a good legal defense and the result reflected that.>>

No disrespect to the Dream Team..but OJ skated AT LEAST as much due to one of THE most botched prosecutions in modern history as to the efforts of the Dream Team...THEY didn't know that the stinking glove had SHRUNK!!
Nobody knew it. It was almost hilarious. OJ's eyes were as big as coffee cups and just kept repeating," it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit". Marcia Clarke looked as she had just f@rted in public.

Have you seen OJ's movies???? He never had a "good acting day" in his life.

Love the fact that you called people that you don't know nor have you ever met "boobs"...Way to spread the love..partner:rolleyes: In order to reach any other conclusion that the glove was not his..You would have had to speculate (the glove shrunk etc..) And, if you have ever served on a jury, you would know that you are NOT ALLOWED to do that. The prosecution SHOULD have come back with an expert stating WHY the glove didn't fit. Barring that, their case died that day.

The man has a point. He did suck as an actor. One hell of a ball player though.

Nice attempt at trying to clean things up and deflect blame.
I'm just trying to figure out exactly what degree of racism applies to you.

If you hadn't come out with a racist bigoted statement in the first place, none of this would have been discussed.

Your the one whose convictions started this.

Typical that you can't defend yourself with language and intelligence and have to resort to a tough guy threat. What are you gonna do, beat an apology out of me?

You can save that for someone that actually gives a crap.

I think you should be more worried about exposing your hand and the people in this industry that might hold you accountable for it.

SUPERSTAR...Jay's having commented about the existence of racism does not make him a racist. Sure blacks convict blacks all the time as I and others have pointed out in this thread. But OJ was not just a black man...he was O.J. SIMPSON one of the most loved icons...by both blacks and white... in American sports history.

He was guilty as SIN...he IS sin...and yet he was acquitted...in spite of CONCLUSIVE DNA evidence. Yes, one single caucasion voted to acquit but still, making the case that the vote was not racially motivated is simply a rather ignorant point of view.

I'm not DEFENDING racism...I HATE racism and bigotry in ALL of its forms but to pretend it does not exist is ridiculous.

Jay might have worded his post differently...to be more careful not to create the implication of being racist...but as I said, recognizing the existence of racism and to predict the outcome of events based that its existence, is not racism...per se...but rather a recognition of one of the sad truths of human nature.
Regards,
Jim

I hope you are right but it really is small potatoes. Their desks are covered with cases of swindlers, schemers, private nurses or care givers who clean out the bank accounts of old people, big companies who deceive investors and so on. It would be hard to get someone to take a serious look at it and give it any kind of priority I feel.

Not that any action may not be taken but it would drag on for years. Besides, a criminal case doesn't get the players a nickel. I would not be interested in a criminal case at this point just some kind of civil action and quick settlement. But getting anything I think will be a long shot if they decide they don't want to pay.

Yes, when you followed it on TV and they questioned black people they all said OJ didn't do it; when they questioned white people they all said OJ did it.

When Foreman was on the stand and said he never used the N word that was just so stupid. It would be impossible to find a cop who has not used the N word. so that put the doubt in the minds of the jurors that evidence could have been planted by racist white cops and since one detective was walking around with a bottle of blood specimen it would not have been all that hard to do. Same with dropping a glove.

I wasn't there so I have no idea what the cops did. But it looked like everyone wanted to be a TV star.

When the verdict was announced and OJ was standing there with his three attorneys and the verdict was announced the look on Cardashian's (sp) face was priceless. I can almost hear him say "Oh s...". It was a look of utter astonishment.

At that level it is not a question of who is or is not guilty but just who has the smarter attorney. In this case OJ's attorney's had no competition.

Both white attorneys are now deceased and OJ is down here in Florida playing golf and romancing the white women. At least that is what was shown on TV not too long ago.

Jake

One thing for sure, he may have (what appears) a good life but how about him looking his kids straight in the eye while he's still alive. He'll have to wear that halloween mask for the rest of his days.

Isn't OJ spending the rest of his life searching the South Florida golf courses for the REAL killers?

I'll let those who read this column decide who the bigot is. I made a statement about a jury verdict appearing to run along racial lines and somehow you twisted that into a vicious racial slur about my relationship with a good friend. And you added an insult about my relationship with a woman of a different race. What I think that says about me is that I am color blind.

Once again it says more about how your mind works than anything else.

If your not someone who promotes racism and bigotry, then you really have to watch the manner in which you say things cause what you said was very abrasive and callous. (*note* mostly to people that have been on the recieving end of racism, and not the people who are on that bandwagon promoting it)

YOU specifically stated that as soon as you saw them, you KNEW that he wouldn't be convicted BASED on the black people in the jury.

That is as good as saying that they weren't going to weigh the evidence which was STACKED against OJ, and that regardless of what the prosecution presented, that they were going to vote for aquittal soley based on their ethnicity whether he was guilty or not.
To say that if OJ was tried in an all white jury that he would have gone down for the crime, is an attack on the black community and their ability to make impartial jury decisions. It promotes the thought that white guys better.

If you had stated that "in the news, they said that if he had been tried by a jury of white guys, that he would have been found guilty", it would have been a COMPLETELY different statement, but you didn't do that. You used your own thinking and your gut instinct as an example of what would have happened. As a result, your gut instinct displayed blatant racism and bigotry wether you meant it or not.
Which in turn reflects your belief system. If it didn't, then you need to learn how to communicate better.

Anyone who has experienced racism and bigotry can tell you that it was a racist comment. If you don't understand that what you said comes off the wrong way, then that error in how you convey information should be pointed out.

If your not a racist, then learn how to TALK like a non racist and learn to have some TACT!

You should talk. The ugliest comments I have ever seen on AZ came from your mouth.

Jay can stand up for himself...and I am sure he will, but as I stated in another response to you, your position above is that anyone who COMMENTS on the existence of racism or predicts the outcome of events arising from that existence is, himself, a racist.

You are wrong...and over-reacting. Do you KNOW that if the tables were turned...say if a white, high society mover and shaker was being tried for some crime in Beverly Hills against a BLACK...that Jay wouldn't have predicted that the white guy would get acquitted? Do you KNOW one way or the other?

In FACT, that sort of acquittal happens all the time. Just watch Court TV for a while.

<<Anyone who has experienced racism and bigotry can tell you that it was a racist comment>>

You have no right to speak for "anyone" and everyone. State all the personal opinions you want but don't presume to be the spokesperson for an entire class of people.

My opinion is that Jay is not a racist...except to say that quite unfortunately, NO ONE, of any race, creed or religion is entirely free from SOME degree of racism and that sir...or madame...includes blacks.

Have you ever heard of Louis Farrakhan? Here are just a COUPLE of his bigotted quotes..

"Many of the Jews who owned the homes, the apartments in the black community, we considered them bloodsuckers because they took from our community and built their community but didn't offer anything back to our community."

"The Jews don't like Farrakhan, so they call me Hitler. Well, that's a good name. Hitler was a very great man."

And don't you presume to call ME a racist...sir or madame...because I HATE racism and/or bigotry...but I can't hate all racists or bigots because then I would have to hate EVERYONE...you included.

As I stated, Jay's choice of words might not have been perfect but I got the message which was that O.J.SIMPSON...not just any unknown black person...was likely to get an acquittal or a hung jury...AND HE WAS CORRECT. By correctly analyzing that matter, he DID NOT become a racist!

<<they weren't going to weigh the evidence which was STACKED against OJ, >>

So, in your mind...the prosecution falsely manufactured evidence to such an extent that O.J. was falsely accused and illegally prosecuted?? Because that is what "stacked" means in this context (See Webster..."2 a : to arrange secretly for cheating "

You are saying that the white establishment manufactured evidence and conducted an illegal prosecution in order to convict a black man. So who is the racist now?

Not necessarily. Depending on the prejudices of the person reading it, it could also be taken as a negative statement about the potential closed mindness of the white jury.

I saw no injury here, nor took any offense.

Actually the defense DID know it!! Sharpiro has publicly stated several times, that the defense had OJ try the glove on weeks before. He stated that OJ tried and tried, and even with the help of others could NOT get the glove to fit. He has also stated that the very MOMENT Chris Darden requested the OJ put the glove on in open court, he knew the case was won.

Interesting sidebar.

The idea was entirely Chris Darden's. Marcia Clarke had no idea he was going to do it. That may explain that stunned look on her face.

I actually recorded EVERY MINUTE of the trial, and recently transfered it to DVD. Until Nip/Tuck it was the best TV I had ever seen.

I know Jay as do a lot of people on azbilliards and the pool world. He's a cool guy and definitely not racist. If he was racist he never would have helped me with my one pocket game considering I am half Filipino:p . I have found Jay to be nothing but nice, professional, a GREAT tournament director (also a perfectionist) and a hell of a teacher;) .
