That's great to live that long, just as long as she's not bed ridden, because that's no life. My mom lived alone as well, but I've been living here at my shop since May, so I've had lots of time with her, but it still don't make it easy, I have to move now because the property is going to be sold, so I'll really be homeless then.
keep it simple, Glen.
it was only important to her.
you know what is/was important to you/yáll.
:smiling-heart:
No, you don't understand dear...LOL, we cleaned out one of the drawers in her bedroom and found over $15,000 in cash....and her jewelry, it's hidden all over the place. Just when you think is something wrapped in tinfoil in the freezer....and you're not sure you want to see what's inside....it's another stash of cash...LOL....so, you can't trust throwing anything out before you go through it ALL and that's just in the house, still have the attic the go through....and God forbid...the detached 2 car garage that only has room for one car to park in because it's so packed in...LOL
I swear, there should be some kind of laws put in place to keep moms from being such pack rats, when someone else has to come in and try to sort everything out after their passing!!! What a nightmare!
I've been home now since May of this year until now, that makes it the longest chance I've had to spend time with my mom in the last 15 years, so I am grateful to have been able to share her very last moments and seconds with her, so I feel good that she didn't pass on alone or with someone she didn't know.
Statue of the leaning tower of Pisa, from when I lived in Italy in 1968....carved out of ivory.
