Confessions

I’m not a big fan of cornhole, but they are on TV and that have a standardized 6” hole.
Pool can’t do that.

I hate the people that feel the need to stand in front of whatever pocket you are shooting at.....there are chairs ,put your ignorant butt in it and shut up.
I do not want to talk about religion, politics or what I am worth financially....sports women music all okay . Some things are none of your business .
While I am confessing, how about these guys that wear their pants way too long . If your inseam is 28" why buy a 34 and have and have 6" of material bunched up around your ankles . The look is not good. At least we have gotten away from the thug look with with pants hanging so low we can see your underwear or worse .

Damn I feel good!

No, we have not gotten away from the pants dropping down look at all. I see it all the time. No idea why people ever thought looking like you don't care if your pants are the right size was ever a good look or showed how cool you are LOL To me, and most civilized people, it just looks like you are a lazy, inconsiderate, rude jerk with a 3rd grade level education. The hood version of a chained wallet, tractor brand hat and a chew spit wad LOL

Saw a youngster step out of his car to pump gas and his pants hit the ground. That wasn't the look he had in mind! The cops do like the sagging pants though, hard to run with what you stole in one hand and the other hand trying to hold up your pants! Buncha Dummies! They don't even have enough hands to mug people anymore. They have to work in groups since they only have one hand to work with.

So you've met the Tournament director in Prov.
I thought so. Lmao

I've no idea if it's truth or not, but I heard rumors that they's a lot of cornholing going
on in parts of Kentucky and West virginia.
Heard of one instance here out side of B'ham down on the river,,, (Warrior River).

I understand that sometimes they are a necessary evil, chiefly when it's the players doing the racking, but I can't stand rack templates.

Those who suggest they don't affect the play are in error, because a) on the break itself, while the balls are moving around, their path and speed can be affected by the template and b) the need to remove the template often causes delays in the play (especially when it must be removed by an "area referee" who might be attending to another table) and it can take a lot of time when it involves marking the position of one or more balls to enable template removal, after which the ball(s) must be restored to their original position.

There, I've said it.

I've never used one my self. But after watching many hours of pool on TV, they definitely affect the game. I've seen them racks alter the path of balls many times.

the result after the break is random with or without templates, but they do slow things down

The redirecting of the balls by the rack, the break is pretty random to begin with, so I just look at it as just another random roll of the balls and it does not bother me anymore when it does it. Yes it is a change from where it ended up if it happens, but then again there is as much of a chance it would be in that exact spot without the rack there, except in this case the randomness was not caused by the cloth speed, break speed, where you hit the rack, how the balls were racked, tilt of the rack, position of the rack, dirt, rail speeds, etc... but by something else. There are a dozen variables affecting ball location after the break, with the template on the table or not.

Not that I don't agree that your views are in perfect line with the post idea, but it may help you with not worrying about the redirection of the balls as "bad" vs just "different randomness".
