OMGWTF has a Prada handbag but her plastic cue case has duct tape to hold the bottom of it together.
On her website she asks for donations - I will donate a new cue case if she will accept.

There were people on here that were stupid enough to bet up to $500 on cubc without knowing how either of the players played. Anyone with that level of stupidity deserves to lose their money IMO.Madcity said:Nah mully I don't think anyone was stupid enough to bet more than a few dollars on the side.

and I dont believe the bull about him scooting away quickly. they said he was mulling around putting the cue away, and getting things together....just good sportsmanship....

After she made the 7, she went to where her stuff was, and he put his cue away and walked out the door. It was that quick. I don't think any criticism is warranted here.
And, anyway, who should be criticized? Neither made an attempt to shake hands, so how can the criticism be aimed at any one person?

There were actually several more than two people that were willing to bet $500. If you you go back and read what I wrote, I said there were people that actually did bet up to $500 without having any idea how either of them play. They deserve to lose their money for being stupid enough to bet large amounts without knowing how either plays, IMO.girlwon1 said:There were two people willing to bet 500. I was one of them, so if you are going to say I am stupid, I will just say this. I had made an open offer to people here on the internet because I do know how Melinda plays. I had talked to a lot of people from his part of the U.S asking how he played, people I respect. With that, I decided to make this bet. That is not in any way I say again a derogatory statement against Melinda, it was a choice I made based on what I saw, and what I was told. <snipped>
It is not like blackjack because in blackjack you are able to maintain some control of the odds by using skill, and if you are playing smart you will be betting when you think the odds favor you.corvette1340 said:lol, have you ever been to a casino? If I will put a few thousand on hands of blackjack then $500 on an 8 ahead pool match is nothing. It's all relative.

I was even going to make the drive out since no one took my bet on the internet, to bet on the rail. In the end I decided that I would leave this one alone, as I felt in the end I didn't know enough about how he would fare under pressure. After watching him play, I feel like he was good enough to have won if he weren't so nervous. He was shaking nervous the whole time. She also broke in a money ball 5 times and after kicking at the seven in one of the games, left her with an easy carom on the 9 in corner on top of that. I am sure those things are hard to fade for anyone, but he definitely still dogged it, playing like he had somewhere else to be in 10 minutes.
Now back to what this thread is all about...
She came through, stayed steady, and got the cash. Most people know that I am not a fan of hers, but in the end, she showed up and did exactly what she set out to do. It's hard playing for a room full of people, and 140 people on the internet. She handled it like a champ.
Congratulations......

He didn't give her a chance. I watched as he got his stuff and walked out as quickly as he could. She turned to shake his hand and he was already gone.TXsouthpaw said:I agree, she shouldve at least shook his hand. After all he just gave her a good spot and handed her a large chunk of change too. Dont care if you dont like the person. be a sportman.

A better ananogy for betting on this match without knowing how either player played would be like betting on a coin flip.
