Congrats! Shane VanBoening! 4th Player for Team USA/ Mosconi Cup

Congrats Shane - last entrant should be either Stevie, Donny, Dennis, or John Schmidt.

Hillbilly may be a good choice for the team. Look how Boo Weekly sparked the USA in the last Ryder Cup. Hillbilly is definately the Boo Weekly of pool!

Once again, in the interest of team chemistry, Rodney is the right pick. He gets along great with Shane and Johnny and is playing well right now, finishing tied for 5th in last weeks Open.

i say make earl captain. we still get to see earl's brand of crazy, and the right player gets to play. think about it.

yea....what Jay said!

but its hard not to pick John Schmidt!

john and rodney both deserve a spot on the team, i know john wants it so bad, and would certainly win given his chance, with his hunger on the team its what the us team needs.

Congrats Shane!

I'm very happy for SVB. He's one of the very, very best in America right now and I also am of the opinion that he'll be a many time major (U.S. Open, WPC, DCC 9 Ball & the BCA's Open 9 Ball tournament, whatever they'll call it next year) winner in the years to come.

IF Earl is not to be on this year's team, I would like to see John Schmidt, Shannon Daulton or Donnie Mills be part of this year's team. Any one of these 3 would give us some more firepower.

I second that!

Congrats to Shane.

If it were up to me, the 8 finalists on Matchroom's list would be the next 8 top Americans on the BCA points list not already on the team - Putnam, Williams, Bryant, Moore, Morris, Davenport, Hatch, and Schmidt.

That sounds like a fair plan to me. Of course I have my favorite of the bunch and will be running my own little campaign for him.

I agree with you Jay too!

Rodney is the strongest player and has the good report with the other guys. He had a strong US Open (with only 2 days practice before the event).

Donnie played great in the Open, but I don't think that warrants a spot yet.

Hill Billy is a close pick, but I think Rodney plays better by a tiny bit.

I think Stevie would be my 2nd choice behind Rodney.
