Congrats to Efren Reyes - 2014 DCC One Pocket World Champion!

Wayta go, Efren!! There just simply aren't enough adjectives to describe how that man plays!!

Winning DCC One Pocket

Efren winning DCC is amazing for many reasons. I just got back and watched most of his matches. He was the oldest player in the field by a longshot to make the final 16. He showed more composure and stamina then men half his age, he never complained about anything, he played back to back to back matches all day wednesday and thursday. He continues to be a great player but more importantly he is a true professional and it would serve other players well to emulate his approach to the game.

Lastly if you think the Filipinos are dumping to each other at DCC here is a situation I saw where that rumor should be put to rest. Effie was playing Dennis and Dennis scratched in the game without having any balls. He then proceeded to run 8 balls and then counted them, raked the balls and began to rack them up for the next game. Efren told him he lost the game and Dennis got upset. Dennis got the referee who confirmed that Dennis lost the game. By the way Dennis was straight in for his ninth ball. That happened wednesday in a late round match. I think it had a large impact on Efren winning the One Pocket Event.

Majestic performance by the great Reyes

There are no words to describe how awesome this win was for Efren. He will forever be the GOAT and he continues to surprise us despite being at the tail end of his career. It blows my FRIGGIN mind how he's able to do this and in such dominant-convincing-spectacular fashion. Just how far can he sustain this madness!? maybe he truly is the real magician. My man-love for you grows even bigger by the day. Congrats King Efren!!!

Congrats to the man on a mission! Undefeated, too.. how many of his DCC 1P finals were without a buy-back?

As for Bobby and Scott.. think they'll want to readjust?

Having known Efren ever since my college days, I can you tell that he does not let out his skills and talents all at once. He always keeps something in reserve. Personally, I don't think that we have seen the last of his masterful performance.

I think he deserves a new moniker: King Efren, the Magician.

For those that say players are dumping to him, who cares, i am happy to see him run 8 and out several times in a row under the tremendous pressure on him to please every fan watching him, as well as showing us how one pocket is played! wining the one pocket tourney is a bonus for him and us!! congrats to all of us.

I've learned a good many things just watching Efren play in the videos on Youtube. There is a lot that I know I am missing where the man's game is concerned, I've never seen him play in person... but Im just happy that I got what I have from him so far. I hope he keeps at it, it's what he does.

I do think he looks slimmer and his face looks better. Overall he looks healthier and happier of late. Make me feel even more hope that he will be with us a good long while.

Congrats Efren, and if you ever make your way to Largo, Florida I will be more than happy to give you some pointers and sing Karaoke.

What speaks volumes about him, is opposed to other threads when a champion wins something, there will always be a few who bad mouth that player. Not a single negative comment from anyone about Efren on 4 pages and counting.

Congrats on the win!

One of my all time favorite Pool lines is from Billy Incardona.
He said I've played every big time player over the years and
learned different things from them all. Then he went on to
describe what he learned from different players and he said
when I played Efren what I learned was not to play him.
PRICELESS

He is doing very well in the 9 ball also. One of only 3-4 players still undefeated.
