Congrats to Shane

yeah i agree. would love to see SVB sweep the whole thing.

and yeah Jay really dropped the ball on that one. we could of gotten some more one liners from that commentary.

i wonder if shane said "He Cant Beat Me "

Steve

and toastie was headin to the choppa !

Congratulations Shane on winning the 9 ball too! Great shooting!

I imagine the interview was good too, but, alas, I wouldn't know. I don't know BECAUSE JAY HELFERT DIDN'T MAKE SURE THE MIKE WAS ON!!

I noticed that too.

And its a damn shame, cause if he had nailed that interveiw, its a oneway ticket to ESPN.

We're talkin hotdog eatin contests, bowling, the big time.

Chances like that dont come around very often.

Crackin' me up...the comment above. Since he's gone this for, I'm sure many of us are pulling for SVB to complete the sweep. First in all three would be a major accomplishment to add to a list of accomplishments.

Lots of good players to go through, tho...so who knows?

Congrats to Shane on his 10-ball and now 9-ball BB championships. I haven’t seen all the great BB players in their prime like Jay and some others on here but he has to be right up there with the top 5. Most of the great players I’ve played on a box was with the big ball. Buddy, Keith, Steve Cook, and others. I’ve seen others play but not in there prime. I would have no problem with betting on Shane against any of them. Johnnyt

Shane did play great, but in a way almost to fast. He was playing in a rythm at times that lead to a couple of easy misses. Did anyone else notice the clinic Earl put on in 8 ball right before that match? I have never seen Earl play bar box 8 ball, but it was everything you would expect.

Home State Hero SVB I really hopes he wins the 8 ball division also. 8 ball is the main game in S.D. So I like his chances. I remember the first time I seen him play was at state a few years back right after his 10 ball championship. A double A player matched up with him for a money match, and destroyed him. His 8 ball game is outstanding personally speaking. Lets go Shane.

Funny comments Neil!

And to SVB, congrats indeed! I sure hope he can keep his enthusiasm and love for pool, cause if he does, his future in pool seems unlimited! So much talent and he's a clean cut, great role model for our sport to boot.

Excuse me, but I was handed a mike and asked to do an interview. No one checked the mike before it was given to me. So I did the interview, and it was a good one too. If someone (anyone) had been listening in the TAR booth it could have been corrected immediately. Sorry, that one's not on me. I had no way of knowing if the mike was on or off. I had never used the remote mike before. The problem lies with the tech support for TAR. But they were undermanned at Reno this year. Justin had to do everything and I think he may have been overwhelmed at times.

Never fear, I will do another interview on Sunday and we'll talk with Shane again, and Tostie. Try to get it right this time.

Did I ever tell you how I did an entire One Pocket match with Joey A. and the the tape got erased by accident? A great match LOST!
