Just saw on Facebook from Scott Frost that Christ "Spike" Aiardo won the 4th stop Diamond Pool Tour in AZ!!!

For those that haven't been on the internet forums forever, Christ is the son of the late Chris Aiardo Jr. aka Chris CASS on these forums. Many of us first met Spike when he was just a little guy. His dad was a great player, great all-around person, and should be in anyone's "internet forum Hall of Fame."

Congratulations, Spike, from your internet family!!!

That is super! Thanks for posting it Fred!

Congrats Christ on a great win! We met about a decade ago in QMasters; I think it was the hurricane year.

Wow, that's a name from the past and some good news.

When I first started posting, Chris was a regular on the Billiard's Digest boards. Congrats Spike, that's quite a win. We remember your dad well - he was a very cool guy!

I watched Saturday's Spike vs Hercek match. Spike is the real deal and I'm excited to hear he won the event. Good job Spike!

That little guy has come a long way. He was a great kid, a veteran, & a determined pool player. Much to be proud of.

True story Chris!...and Spike plays with his dad's custom Szamboti that Barry made for him many years ago. Spike is a great kid (young adult now), and it's good to see him following in his dad's pool footsteps!

The last U.S. Open that Chris came to in Virginia, he was very, very sick. We were hanging out together in the Holiday Inn lobby, both of us being early risers, and he shared his thoughts with me. I came to develop a wonderful friendship.

The first photo is of Chris and Keith taken at that Open. I think it was 2002, but it might have been 2003. The second photo is Chris and me at the same Open, photo courtesy of Tom Suarez. The last photo was in an earlier thread on this forum. I am not sure who took the photo, but I think this was when Chris was healther. That little boy in the photo might be who this thread is about. :smiling-heart:

Very cool for Spike!!!!!!!

I remember Chris telling me how easy pool was for Spike. He told me that Spike saw all the angles like the slices of a pizza.

It's been a long time but not a lot of days go by that I don't think of Chris Cass. I miss him dearly. The one time I got to meet and hang out with him was that year he was very sick at the US Open, no chance I'll forget that week.
