Congratulations to Tina who won her 5th straight Arizona Womens Tour event !!! Need to change your name to girlwon5!!! Keep up the great shooting Tina, its just a matter of time...

Hey Tina!!

I guess you're going to the Regional Tour Championships in Vero Beach!! Go for it! What a way to win a free ride into the WPBA events for 2006!!

Congratulations! I'm impressed! I have so much respect for people that can travel to a tournament, get very little sleep and win match after match to win the whole thing. There are just so many things to contend with, bad rolls, rude people and umpteen other things that can go against you. Way to go!!

Congratulations Tina! Does winning a WPBA qualifying tournament give you a place on the whole WPBA tour or only one event, from which you have to continue winning to stay on the tour?

Hi AuntyDan,

If you win a single tournament qualifier, you have secured one entry to a pro event. I won the last 4 tournaments on their tour, three of those were qualifiers. In the middle, I won the WPBA Amateur Nationals (not affiliated with any one tour). In all of that I got a total of 4 spots paid. By winning that many events on the tour, this last tournament was the AWBT's season finale, so I won their tour, and am the tour champion. When you win a whole tour, you are awarded all entries for the next WPBA season except for the BCA in May. You have to secure a special invite for that by placement and other factors. So for the seven WPBA spots for next year, I have 4 paid, and 3 unpaid, but invited to all.

I want to thank everyone who wrote here to congratulate me on these wins. That is so awesome to read all of this from you guys. Thanks for being cool. And Blackjack, thanks for helping me behind the scenes.

Yes, this tournament had alot of those annoying aspects listed above, including the rude person that tried to take my head out of it. I actually lost my second match so not only did I have to play late the first day, but came back on the second day and played 8 straight hours, match after match. It surely was a little difficult to play that long and then play that little 18 year old, full of energy Anna Kostanian. She was really tough opponent but ended up getting there beating her two sets in the finals.

I was well taken care of by my friends there, and couldnt have probably done as well without them. A special thanks goes to Jimmy Mendoza and his wife, Meiko, and Mike and Susan Williams.

Hey, no problem. We'll be sending your iPod back to you tomorrow, by the way.

Congratulations on getting to the WPBA next year (Meiko is right here and said the same thing). Meiko and I will be able to say, "I knew her back when ...". ;)

Congrats Tina.

I don't know if you remember me, but everyone used to think that Chris and I were brothers, when we would try to tell them that we weren't, they would still think we were, so we finally gave up and just said we were. I think you know Chris, he's in college all the time. If not and you still don't remember me just ask Pinky, Vic or Dan Wallace who Kevin is. But Congrats all the same.

Chris said to say he was the guy with the Judd if you don't remember him?

Does that mean you will be playing in all the tournaments to which you are invited? I'm sure many of us would be delighted to root for you in Peoria next summer - we hope you'll make the trip (not to mention Michigan City in March). Good luck this coming year.

Congrats on the win Tina. Geez I need to get out more, I didn't even know you're from AZ. Did Kristin move back to Phx?
