No experience. Just a general statement. And just trying to say that you might not have missed much. On the other hand, you might have! Current currency translation is $78/hr. For free, I'll give you a drill from Joe Tucker and if you do this drill every day for a month, there is simply no way you won't improve.

The funny thing about lessons is this. Someone with a devine stroke can tell you how THEY do it, but it really comes down to what YOU can do with your stroke, i.e. being the best you can be, not what a pro already is. Knowledge is power for sure and a pro can help with that, but improving is probably easiest by playing those better than you and observing, then trying the moves you see in practice. At $80 an hour, I often wonder what my result would be playing money matches with the top guys in the Joss tour.

However you go about it, I wish you every success.

Well all righty then, Tim. Put that Joe Tucker drill out there for me and everyone to improve our game.

And for the record you were thinking that I am the other Joey who builds cue sticks.

I am JoeyA and couldn't build a broomstick let alone a poolstick. :)
The other Joey does have a cool first name, though.

Thanks,
JoeyA

Well, its been a tough day for me, hasn't it! Sure. Here's the drill. Place a ball at the middle diamond, bottom rail, at each of the first diamonds traveling towards the other end of the table and two more between the second and third diamonds before the side pockets. Mirror balls on the other side of the table. Ball in hand, start with pocketing the ball on the bottom rail, gaining position for the ball in front of you at the first diamond. Trick ? Leave a thin cut and make the cue bounce after the ball under your bridge hand. Continue until you get to the last ball on this side. pocket the ball at the first diamond on the other side and work backwards. Get straight in for the last ball at the end of the table. If you get through the first five with cue ball control, you are doing something.
