Connelly Billiard Mfg for Sale

Heard a rumor today from a retailer/billiard supplier that Connelly has closed 5of it's largest outlets and has put the company up for sale. True or false? I don't know for sure but if anybody that posts here knows anything about that or has connections, please advise.

Anyone know anything about this???

I heard the same thing from a "person in the know"; in other words, a reliable source.

Another sign of tough economic times here in the States, and it doesn't look like it's getting any better. :(

Connelly NOT closing

This is a FALSE rumor. Many pool entities are having tough times. I know for a FACT that Connelly is not going out of business.

They have been here for 25+ years. I know this is a forum and ideas can/should be discussed - but rumors like this can hurt a company's business. I mean - who is going to buy a product when they "think" the company is going out of business.

I actually met with Craig Connelly earlier today - and my info is very ACCURATE.

Want to change it? Get rid of ALL lobbyists. Stop sending/outsourcing to other countries. Throw ALL the politictions out of office and start new with a cap of $100,000 on election spending. Or let the Mafia in the Whitehouse. Johnnyt

keep in mind that it's not uncommon for ceo's and execs to quash such rumours prior to the end
