considering a new break cue...

I realize the importance of a good break, and have been loosing control of whitey off the table or scratching in the side. I have been using a older Sledgehammer, and have tried a friends Mcdermott Stinger.

But was interested in either Predator BK2 or Lucasi Big Beuluh 2... something with low deflection, just in case if I don't hit the center of the cue ball during my stroke.

Is the BK2 worth the price? And anyone care to coment on the Lucasi in terms of deflection?

thxs for the help

My suggestion would be to keep the sledgehammer and contact Mike for a new shaft, which will have the shaft freeze applied. Then, either have Mike put on one of his combination ferrule/tips or a Samsara.

I had the same problem with my sledgehammer. I had the dome of the phenolic tip removed and put on a water buffalo tip called super pro I could not be happier regained a ton of control

My Sledgehammer was a good cue but is out dated. My new Anvil has a taper that gets through your follow through with no deceleration and straight because of my BTX taper. My new cue has an unbreakable ferrule and a Samsara tip. It also has Shaft freeze to keep it straight, slick and clean looking for years. It will jump with any jump cue and breaks better than the others, I guarantee it.
