Not sure what Kansas City tournament you are speaking of but I think it would be.

There is a tournament @ Shooters in Olathe Kansas (bout 30 minutes west of Kansas City) on Thurs 6/26 - Sun 6/29, $5,000 added. One pocket on Thurs/Fri. Bar table 9 ball on Fri/Sat/Sun. They usually get 20-30 players for one pocket - over 100 players for 9 ball.

Here is a link to the tour http://www.9balltour.com/
You can call the pool room or Evelyn Dysart 316-371-5805 (tournament director) for more info.

Hey Pal ! Check your PM's I sent my contact info. If I can help let me know.

cheers guys..is the kansas city tournament any good ? heard the florida one is...jcin il be in touch pal xx anying else happening on those weekends..?

KC tourney, if they get the normal amount of players will probably be 1800-2300 for first for the bar table 9 ball. They pay down to 20-25% of the field. Evelyn could give you exact #s. Player auction is always good. Action is always very good. Room owner is one of the best. If you wanted to gamble on a bar table, they have a guy there that you could probably talk into playing you a set or two. :p

Here is the top 8 payouts of the last event they had in Olathe (Kansas City)
Results (main event-paid down 24 spots, but provided less):
1st Sparky Ferrell $2200
2nd David Matlock $1600
3rd Shane McMinn $1000
4th Buddy Hall $700
5th/6th Chuck Raulston/Shane Van Boening $400
7th/8th Chad Vilmont/Daniel Neldner $300

One pocket first $1,000 added.....then the bar table 9 ball $4,000 added. Sometimes they have a bigger entry fee mini tournament or ring type game on Saturday nights.

David Matlock plays out of Shooters in Olathe.

Good Luck.

Not sure what England has to offer (I would think you are used to bigger payouts) but for regional tournaments - Olathe & the Seminole tours are about as good as it gets. Olathe is always a good time and good people. Viking tournaments, if the turnout is large enough, also pay in the same ball park.

Viking (Mike Janis) and The Great Southern Billiard Tour (Shannon Daulton) have lots of events in Georgia and Tennessee, as well.
