Contest: Your Chance for FREE US Open Qualifier Entry - deadline Sept 21

I had cancer 6 years ago and was surpose to die and I said that isn't going to happen (at that time i was a 3 in apa 8ball), after i got out of the hospital after 3 months I said I hate being second place and losing all the time in 8ball. I practice 7 hours a day for a year straight and I was a 7 in less then a year and I haven't looked back. I have a lot of top pool playing friends around here that was watching yesterday and they were all prasing my game after I lost to Jose. Someone told me I need to start watching all of the old acc u stats from efren back in the day because that is who I reminded them of. That felt really good hearing that from people that I admire and love to watch.

This letter came to me from a guy that is very humble and doesn't want to have anyone make a fuss about his personal victory over cancer. I am submitting this in his stead. He would like to play in Florida.

I can confirm that Chen is not playing in the Qualifier as his entry into the US Open has been paid for. Directly from him.

Chase and Daniel haven't hit balls for a month or so.

I'm Chase... and out of the last 365 days I've probably not hit balls on a total of 50 of them.

Sounds like you are all certainly having the High Life. Did you hit any casinos? Hope not--manders and I would have liked to gone with you--maybe next time.

Maybe Trigger and Milo will pick your sob story to get the free entry for next weekend's event. I know they have seen you play and that should be sob story enough.....:grin-square:

It was a pretty tough choice for us as there were a lot of good posts, but Milo and I have come to an agreement on the winners after several emails back and forth between us.

Juanbond, Post number 69, will get Mike's paid entry for Tallahassee for $100.
Bullshooter69, Post number 68, will get his entry paid for for Dallas for $50.
9ball, Post number 21, was the second pick but he cannot attend due to hurting his back this past weekend, so it goes to Post number 15, morinj29.

Thank you to ALL posted about their dream to play in the US Open!

I will contact the TD's and get the check in the mail. :)

Thank you for this post, Dwight. I got a pm from the gentleman and he said he didn't want to be considered for the free entry this year, so Milo and I took him "out of the race."

Congrats to all who won the spots in the regional qualifiers! It was fun to read all the posts and sweat who Trigger & Milo would finally pick.

I am sad that I am not going to get to spectate at this tourney, but pool calls and I will be playing with mandersotx and the rest of the girls in Arlington. Actually, for any guys that want to come watch, get Manders to do the white girl dance - she spots me at least the 8 on that one! :eek:
