super rare Cooktown Ironwood cue with 5A Quilted maple handle.very hard to capture the figure of Quilted maple in pics,so i did as good as i could, but the figure is constant throughout the piece.the Cooktown Ironwood comes from a tree that is 19% moisture content as soon as the cut it down.it should make an excellent hard hitting cue wood,it also has great tap tone.shafts will be finished this weekend so i haven't tried it out yet.

Another gorgeous work from Mason. I'm sure it hits as good as it looks.

Keep the pics coming!!

That Quilted Maple looks 3-D. Thanks for sharing. What pin are you using is this beauty?
Jeff

That ironwood looks just like the fresh cut desert ironwood. I'd bet it's related to our ironwood or mesquite. Nice cue Mason.

Nothing beats a cue with good figure like that. Mason cues hits well and is consistent. Thanx for sharing ones more.

thanks guys, the pin is 3/8-10 black G-10 and the weight came out at 19oz natural.

Eric you are probably right about the wood.i figured either Desert ironwood or maybe even in the Ipe family of ironwoods.it has that same grain pattern.i am looking forward to hitting some balls with it actually.

I like the cue, it's what I would have ordered for the man, Mason. Somebody is gonna get a great cue.

Mason,

This cue looks fantastic. The visual textures of the chosen woods work perfectly together. The ringwork add a very nice touch of class without being overstated. Great job!

Congratulations,
Chris
