Cool AMF table

Very odd description. "Retro counters"?? And ball returns instead of drop pockets?? I've never even seen an AMF with drop pockets. Looks like what we played on in Binghamton, NY for years.

Yes the terminology was a little different. I bought a old Brunswick cue rack in southern Maine and it was stamped on the back Binghamton New York. I think it might of had a name of the club or pool hall on it also, I will have to take it down and look one of these days.
 
That happens to be a damn good pool table. If I had room, I'd buy it just to hang onto. It's a very good deal if it goes for less than a thou.
 
This looks like the exact table I played on in college, Crazy Horse had probably 20 of these 9 footers. Fiberglass gully/ball return pockets same frame work I think as a gold crown, hated the pointed corners, they tear up your thighs, but a good table, way better than the older Gandys.

Yikes, I didn't notice the pointed corners before. The ones I played on were rounded and, to be honest, didn't play all that well. The original Pocket Billiard Lounge {now Ball Busters Billiards} had 10 AMF tables, the Gold Crowns came with the downstairs expansion.

Didn't the Camel Pro Billiards tour use AMF tables that looked like Gold Crowns. I remember one of the Accu-stats commentators saying they were going to use a special camel colored Simonis cloth in honor of the Camel sponsorship.

They played the Camel Tour mostly in poolrooms and used the existing tables. They did use a tan cloth with the Camel logo on it in several events.

I have a not so different table that I use now. If my mechanic didn't screw up the pockets something fierce it would be as good as any gold crown with much more personality. Great tables these commerical grade AMF are.
 
AMF Table

The bowling alley was where I discovered pool. All three in northwest In. had these tables.
