:: Copper, Silver & Ivory - Guess the Maker ? ::

His work is almost alive on the Cue. Tony's work has a depth to it that is visually amazing. His layering of detailed work on top of more detailed work a couple more times over makes a simple Silver leaf on a flower blow your mind as it sits on three or four layers of just as detailed and complicated inlays. .
Could your pictures be that bad?
Nick :)

Thanks for your comments and you're right it's not a Black Boar. Never meant to be.

However i have to say this inlay is in no way inferior to or less dramatic than a BB it is just a different design to that of a BB, and of course price wise it's not in the same league either.

Your description of Tony's floating flowers or leaves are mostly accomplished by using MOP and i love those effects i think they are gorgeous. With that said i strongly believe the cue maker that made this cue didn't have it easy with this design either and could probably have done that floating leaf or flower design you speak of at the right price.

Perhaps i'm reading too much into your comments but i have to stand up for a good cue maker when i see one and this cue maker is great on many levels. Just like Tony is a master craftsman and cue maker.

This cue is not yet finish with all the cleaning up that needs to be done, these pictures aren't taken by me but i'm still in love with what's been done.

well, i was let in on the secret.

i'm impressed that he left his comfort zone and tried something difficult. This is what cuemaking needs more of. Also, to Jive for demanding more of the cuemaker in lieu of just settling for there seemingly typical style.

I am going to guess Lambros, dunno why, but the last few comments have sent me in this direction.

This cue, while very intricate, would not take Michael Vollmer or Marcus Dienst at Arthur cues out of their comfort zones. Those would have been my initial guesses.

And with the points maybe being a give away, mm from the joint perchance ;)

I don't see anything there that would require 4th axis or even axis substitution. But I am very new to CNC and could be missing something.

Larry

either axis sub or one thick ass pc of copper!

Decided to keep this running a little longer

Here are some pics of the point work and ringwork..could be a dead giveaway.

I think Kenny uses laminated handles for his cues but I may be wrong.
My guess is Bob Dzuricky. Just a wild guess hehe:thumbup:

I don't know 100% but I really love these inlays in the points. I want something similar when my names up on a list next year. Got an awesome AZ member that I'd love to have do something like this for me.

You're a real lucky guy. Glad you're enjoying the rewards of your hard work and success. Beautiful cues as always.

I told you before Kenny Murrell
Laminated Handle, blue tape, black phenolic ring after the points:thumbup:
You will get a super player here, trust me, his Cues plays phenomenal
