???Corey Deuel Miracle Shot???

I would assume it's something like a masse shot. I would let him bet per shot, and not a 1 out of an X amount of attempts, But you would only get me for a few hundred if you could win. :-)

I think Scotty Townsend had a shot where the ball is on the spot and the cue ball behind the line. He would cut the ball in and park whitey on the spot without touching a rail. It's also a masse shot.

I personaly seen Efern do that same exact shot at a billiard club in Jersey....

lol that shot is so ez I can do that :) :(

I think this is how it's set.. I saw it in an old magazine. Forget who used to shoot this shot? 1 ball a little away from the pocket and the cue ball between the two diamonds. Both froze to the rail.

Will have to look at it next time I'm at the pool room to confirm this correct above. Bank the 1 cross corner.

I'll take 3 to 1 and empty out if anyone wants to let me shoot it. :)

Come get ya some over at Buffalo's. Just make sure you bring plenty of poker money. I don't want any of that blood money from pool. :D

I can live with 3 to 1.

The US open shot against Efren was incredible. He hit is so hard, imagine if he had miscued and golfed the cueball, there would have been someone in agony in the stands!:D

I just asked my GF & she thinks it was at the derby in 2001 with scott frost setting the shot up to see if corey could make it. Yes she saw it too.

That shot in the video isn't so tough on new cloth. Not saying it's easy, but on new cloth, with a good stroke, it can be done. I was at the Lexington All-Stars back in......I think it was 1999. I was watching Buddy Hall warm up and he was making some draw shots that I never thought were possible. He cut a ball into the corner, the cue ball went out along the tangent line about a foot and then drew straight back up table. I was less than 10 feet away form him when he did it. I have never seen anything like it before or since. And Buddy's stroke seems so effortless.

whats the qball spot. anywhere behind the head string?

coreys skill is never a question. however he is the next earl strickland. very poor attitude

I dont know if I would compare Corey to Earl when it comes to attitude. I think Corey's main problem is that the game is not challenging enough to him and he gets bored at times. I know Corey, thats why he is always looking at unique ways to break and things like that...to mix it up a little. BTW, if you think you can duplicate the shots he shoots, you got action. I have seen him do some amazing things when just screwing around on the table. JMO.

not to argue but you must not see or speak to him often. hes not yelling at ppl but his attitude stinks. he told me in ac how bad he thinks thorston cant play. he stinks so on... FOR LIKE AN HOUR STRAIGHT

also ive seen him hide himself kick and scratch. then catch the cueball take it out of the pocket slam it on the ground. the cueball bounced like 6 ft in the air and he dropped it back on the table. this was at the us open. not earl YET!

I know its been said, but I also have seen corey make this shot. Like Dee said, it is absolutely SICK!!! I have to agree with The Saw here, when Corey is shooting his best, he is by far the best in terms of controlling whitey and his shot making abilities. I used to get disgusted practicing with him, or should I say racking for him.

Well, I havent spoken to him in the last couple of months, but I have spoken extensively with him over the last few years and I know that he would rather be out playing golf because its more of a challenge to him. Not to mention there is more money in golf.

this is the shot. he drew it to the rail and back, and it's one of the greatest shots i've ever seen.

but the best thing about it is billy incardona's reaction in commentary.

I tried that shot last night Jay Helfert saw it, I didnt get on it good as I wanted and slid across hitting the long rail on the right and scratched in the side, my OB was a little up table from Corys shot, I jumped up and didnt hit is good as I could have, and I was on worn in cloth not new cloth, I'm "C-" player depending on who you ask, with the right cue any of the top players can do what Cory did, but in a big tournmant TV etc that was a ballsey shot and my props to him, but there are a hell of alot of guys here on AZ with new cloth are gonna hit it, Cory had perfect control, It a fun shot for sure. With new cloth the right cue and 20 tries I could hit that ball with the juice Cory did-probably 75%-90%. could I land perfect for the next shot? no, On new cloth its aint that tough.

Also I have hit a couple balls with Corys cue and bekieve me thats helping him, man what a cue he has, i dont know who made it but Its one of those cues that is a 1 in 100 from the cue maker, perhaps the best hitting cue he ever made, it wasnt a run of the mill cue, believe me they picked over alot of cues to get to that one, its AWESOME, I'll take the 5 out And BIH after the breaks-I get those too and I might play Cory-I'm weak.

JoeyA Perhaps i'm wrong i didnt read this whole thread but I doubt its possible, we need Mike Massey or someone to try it, he might get away with it, problem is yu only hit a little piece of the OB and the foward momentium will carry the ball sideways like Corys shot, as you know almost full ball contact is necerssary to keep the CB comming straight back, the less OB you hit the ledd straight back the CB can be drawen, i gotta slep its 340am.

I think the OB is place on the 1st diamond. I saw Randy Brandmeyer shoot this shot back in the early '90's. He made it look easy.

Its called a woodpecker cue. Corey sorta has his own lines of cues called woodpecker, but Jacoby actually makes them.

Joey,

Yes... If you're Corey. Just like Dee told Satman, "it's just sick". If you spend some time sweating Corey experimenting you'll find yourself saying "sick" alot. IMO, he is hands down the best there has ever been manipulating whitey... He shoots it with an elevated cue but nowhere close to 70 degrees. If anyone is ever around Corey and mad at their money, let him shoot prop shots and see how far your cash goes.

How about the next Action Challenge is a $10K prop shot contest between Corey and Larry Nevel?

Would be fun to watch, but then you've probably got to bring some other folks into the mix. How about a prop shot ring game?

I know this shot isn't probably the hardest in the world to make if you know how to hit it, but to pull it off in a tournament setting, you've got to have a special talent (and a little bit of wreckless abandon brewing in your back arm)...

To me that's more impressive than the draw shot on the 4. I'm positive that I don't have this shot in my bag.
