Well, I opened it. I have Kaspersky Internet Security which is a very good program. Nothing untoward detected by Kaspersky.

This video has over 2000 views. We have been using that site forever with no problems.

I would hazard a guess that krell had some other problem unrelated to the video.

I completely agree Dennis.

maybe it was the banner ad on the page that was trying to open.

i dont think Bill or Vimeo would put up a virus, they have both been very reliable to us all.

Dennis is right; i would put the chances of the virus being due to the video at slightly below 0%. Vimeo is really tight.

re: the pockets: i have to say that i noticed the pocket action in some of Bill's other videos, and was quite surprised to see the photo that Dennis put up, where they are clearly 4.5. there must be Something else going on here, because there were a LOT of shots in Corey's run and in the last one of Bill's that simply No Way would've gone on the Gold Crown II i play on, which has pockets about 1/8" over 4.5, nor even on the Anniversaries in the same room which are almost 4.75.
 
Things I noticed in this VERY nice run...
1. As hard as I tried to figure out his patterns, I couldn't. Seemed like he didn't pick a potential break ball until the last four or so balls...maybe he did, but didn't look that way. Got me thinking that maybe I focus too much too early and should just shoot the patterns a little looser until I absolutely have to pick a ball. I was surprised at how quick his pace was, too.
2. Breaks spread very nice, but he got stuck a lot in the rack. Shows how good he shot, he always managed to fan something to get out of it. And he did the whole run with the Golf Channel Love Doc on Tiger Woods blaring away in his ear!
3. I, too, noticed several shots that wiped their feet big time going in...one of them hit the rail WAY short and still found its way in. Ironically, the shot that he missed to end the inning was hit way better than a couple that dropped...admittedly, speed probably had more to do with that than anything.
4. Finally, I'm very jealous of Bill...how can I get a room built where so many top guys will come by and play for fun!!?? Tell me, I'll do it!

I might get Schmidty and Corey playing a game to 300 on video in a few days. They can't decide between music and TV. Corey wants the golf channel on and John wants 60's music. What do you guys think?

Corey just ran 194, barely missed a ball in the side leaving perfect position for another key ball - break ball. Almost another 200.

if I understand it right Corey has made over his personal best at least twice these days? Must be more due to the fact there has been lack of attention to 14.1 from him in the past, rather than his present form... Sure his capabilities exceed these. Yet he is playing great!!!

As for TV or music selection, no golf should be allowed there :grin-square:
 
Very unconventional pattern play, but Corey has the good habit of solving his problems early in the rack and has phenomenal speed control, which is essential in 14.1.

Corey maintains control of the table, but overlooks many opportunities to develop or improve the position of possible break balls and key balls. Further, John Ervolino always advocated the elimination of balls below the break shot sooner rather than later, and Corey's frequent failure to do this makes his work a little harder.

Corey has to play more missable shots than most top 14.1 players, but gets by on raw talent, much as Lassiter did once upon a time. Hits break shots very aggressively, and hits them well without losing control of the cue ball.

A highly skilled player, Corey's game needs more than tweaking for him to become a first flight 14.1 technician. Still, the potential is obvious and if he really cared to develop his game, there's no reason to think he wouldn't soon have a chance to be one of top few in the world.

By pro standards, the table played a bit on the loose side. Corey will have to shoot better than this to run 229 at the Derby.

Congratulations, Corey. Nice run! Good luck in the DCC 14.1 Challenge. Youll be one of the guys to beat!
 
I really enjoyed watching this video, thanks for posting it. He makes a really tough bank break shot with the object ball going down the long rail to the head corner and a couple nice shots to get out of trouble, i.e. the one ball off the eight and the combo near the rail by the side pocket. Good stuff! Although I have to agree with some of the posters that the table seems a little forgiving. Great run.
