I have done 2 cork wraps, and do like 1) how they feel and 2) how easy it is to hide the seam and make sure it is flush to the edges. Once I did them, I sanded them flush, and then I used a couple coats of Lacover Padding Finish 30. So far they have stayed pretty clean. I will say, the contact cement I used to put them on with seemed to soften the glue used to hold the wrap together, so when installing the actual wrap. the wrap started to come apart. Took a bit of extra work to get it right.
Next one I do, tite bond will be the glue I use
