I think the world of Shane as a player and seems to be a good guy. I just don't think he is one that should win. Someone list the reasons why he should win. I promise he didn't send it as much as others there. He is just popular in the pool world right now. Thats why he was center of attention. Please don't jump all over me for this one. But he should not win.IMO. Scooter was the one I voted for because he seemed to me, Other Than The Guy STaking Road Man (Justin Cone) I don't know his name but he gambled his ass off, to have gambled on everything. I wish I had a list I could post on here. Hell I might be able to get one. I'm sure everyone would be amazed. He had more bet than the players were playing for in every Shane match played. He shot 3 pointers for the cash somewhere there close by. Him and Tedder lost a bucket to Lil D.......................I'll have more later.

George, the one man campaign for Scooter for the DCC. I'm just kidding with you George. I agree. I initially voted for Shane, and within ten minutes rescinded my vote and went with Scooter. He bet on everything, and he always does. For action and entertainment he probably shoud have won it for the last three years. In addition, Scooter getting a free room would be $1000 more he would have to gamble.

If I am not mistaken the voting for the Louie Roberts Award is usually not very significant. Please correct me if I am wrong. There were over 400 players competing at DCC. Obviously, not all of these have any idea who contributed the most action and entertainment, but the stakehorses and sweators in attendance more than make up for these. Have you considered a ballot at the DCC?

I've considered it, but that has it's own problems. I had a ballot box in the AZ Room the first year and hardly got any votes in it.iba7467 said:

Should everyone that attended get to vote? I don't think so. There's still something to be said about secret balloting. The way it's been done the last few years, there certainly isn't any collusion or anything like that. The sampling of 40-70 out of 1000 or so might be the same or better percentage than our Presidential Election.
Plus, the voting hasn't been close, so to me, it's a non issue.
