I would also send an email to Jim Buss Custom Cues since he has a large email list of cuemakers and dealers all over the country. It did help us locate some of our cues a few years back that were stolen. Of course the police in 3 states didnt really care...it did help locate a few of them and helped with the insurance so they knew it wasnt a scam.

The fact that you are concerned about the guy that robbed you says a lot about you!

If the police have good prints and if the crook has a record (most likely they do) it shouldn't be long before you get your stock back.

bill the us open is coming up. i will bet $$$ something shows up there. alything "specific" we can look for. like one of a kind

this is really really bad bc not only did bill get robbed but you and i will also get robbed if we buy these cues. no matter what bill is entitled to HIS property and whoever buys these cue will be out the $$$.

If you make a flyer , with discriptions of the cues, I would be more than happy to take the flyers to all pawn shops with 20 miles of Westland Mi. (West side of Detroit). If a flyer is made you can e-mail me a copy at cld1201@sbcglobal.net. I would then send you a list of all pawn shops visted. I sincerly hope you get the cues back! I am currently about 45 miles from where you live.....................Charlie D

I'm sorry about your loss, and I hope you re- cover your property Sir...Please let us know as soon as you get a list of your stolen cues..The cue world is very small, and this person will get caught..:mad:

Great idea rep to you Sir!! It may be a good idea to post plan of attacks in pm or email in the future...It's possible the person responsible is very aware of the AZB, and is reading every post...jmo..

Bill, Let me first say thank you very much for helping me in the past, but now it is our turn to help you out in any way possible. Youve been great to everyone here and the least we can do is keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I pray that at least in this one case, the police do their job and not turn the other cheek. I hope those fingerprints lead to something, someone involved in this whole thing. Finally I hope that the missing items are retrieved as soon as possible and not later. God bless.

I am so very sorry that this has happend to you and your family. Hopefully they find the thieves quickly and with most if not all of your stock still in their posession.

The sooner that you can post photo's, detailed lists, etc.. the sooner that the AZ community can get the information spread out in their areas. Alot of the pawn shops in my area are part of a chain ( Pawn America ) and I have a contact at their corporate office that I would be happy to pass this information to.

To others who may feel that this could happen to them, it may be worth the time and investment to set up a close-circuit system to at least cover entrances. Maybe someone who is more AV savvy could post some options for do-it-yourself setups.
 
bill another idea if you could create a stolen cues secion on your webpage and move all the cues that were stolen to that page it would help. i dont know who does your computer work but thats an option. im sure you dont have every cue listed on your page. whoever did this isnt really smart IMO. most of us remember eachother by the cue we have. these guys will slip up. has to be more then one... with this dollar amount once you get one youll get them all. scumbags have no loyalty
 
Our prayers are with y'all. If I see any Cornerstone cues I will pick them up right away. I'll put the word out in Milwaukee I am looking to buy Cornerstone cues. If he's in my area I'll get 'em!
 
Bill...it might be a good idea if you take all the pics of the cues in question, create a slideshow with them, and post them up on YouTube.com. I cannot think of another way to make these cues more visible to the most amount of people.

By doing this, you may put the heat on whomever it is that has them...and it's going to make them difficult to move due to the high profile of the cues in question. Might not hurt to submit the pics along with the police report to US Customs...as an overseas destination might be a very real possibility. The amount of ivory involved may be a big motivator with regards to Customs.

I just hope that the thieves ARE stupid enough to try to sell them. Of course one possibilty, however painful, is that they find out (if they didn't already know) that they cannot be sold without someone seeing them, and they just sit on them indefinately because of their fear of being caught. I was lucky enough to recover some stolen cues a couple of months ago (from a pawn shop) and my biggest fear was the thieves never trying to do anything with them.

I sure hope you catch these bastards!
 
I'm in southwestern Ontario and regularlly visit the pawn shops etc, and will keep an eye out in the shops and inthe halls

I'm sure the perps are following this thread carefully. The cues may not surface for a long time. Lets try to keep the search alive and not forget.
