I did not have a reply as of yet from the seller but i spent some time on the phone with barry and he remembers buying the brass special for this cue, but it has been a long time and does not recall, but we went over some tech on the shafts and it appears to be one of barrys. but my reply will never be good enough for the kind and considerate pharo68 ,at this time i still stand behind the gentleman that i bought it from. and thank you jimmy for being there at the right time! because some people you cannot please . and pharo to your bigger and better know dealer, i can truly see whay the attack was spured! thank you to pharo68 and joe v to all have a nice day

From the onset, this was all about you advertising something that may or may not have been legitimate. That's it. I saw this cue before. It kinda stands out. And I have the memory of an elephant (that means 'pretty good' in case you didn't know ).

So this is what happened. I remember this cue as it is rather unique. I remember it being the same as the one listed on another site. However, I remember that the descriptions were different. I found it a bit odd that the second shaft now had a different point of origin and was crafted by different hands. Possible? Yes. But then what happened to the Tasc shaft? It just didn't add up. So I inquired by starting this thread.

I never made mention of any names. If you felt a need to go and bring Joe into this, you have some SERIOUS insecuirty issues. Maybe its because as many people as there are on this site that seem to love you, there are quite a few that take issue with you and question your expertise. Why? Well, review the first post in this thread. Case and point.

I consider Joe a friend. I would never drag him into something. You did that all by yourself. It was this simple Bill: from the onset, all you had to do was either

A) advertise the cue correctly, or
B) admit that there may have been some misinformation and that you would get to the bottom of it.

If you want to blame anyone for this thread getting ugly and out of control, point to yourself and guys like TommyT.

my info comes from one of the bigger, and better known cue dealers / collectors out there. He used to own the cue. Don't tell me my info is hearsay. Class? Maybe not. Facts, hell yeah!

I'm not causing trouble. If anyone here is causing any kind of trouble, maybe its the guy misrepresenting what he's selling. All I'm doing is questioning it. And all you had to do was provide an answer. But instead, you decided to play Inspector Gadget and get to the bottom of things, which in turn, led you to bring Joe into the picture. Joe in turn, has asked you several times NOT to mention his name again. Its kind of a simple request but, I guess your inability to spell, type, or form a simple sentence is indicative of your inability to understand what you read as well. (See the quote above - 'joe' is the first thing you say).

Ironically, did you ever notice that Inspector Gadget always came out looking kinda stupid???

Truth be told, causing trouble can be fun fromtime to time. Anyone who says otherwise is lying through their teeth. But is that really what I did here?

No. What I did was point out that someone who is selling something (for no paltry sum of cash I might add) may well be advertising it incorrectly. Now, that being said, someone as 'respected' and 'honorable' as Mr. Grassley should know better than to just simply make a statement like he did without having all the facts documented.

And perhaps I could have taken the high road and PMd Bill about it. But, truth be told, Bill's style of 'I spend millionson cues and that makes me more of an expert than the rest of you' really bugs me after a while because, well, it just isn't true. Money doesn't buy knowledge or respect. But acting like it does makes you look foolish. And if you don't think that's the kind of guy Bill is, look at some of the statements he's made in the past. In some cases he alludes to it. In other cases, he flat out says it.

So let me ask you, for a man that has no respect for me and thinks that his opinion trumps all others because of the amount of cash he spends on cues, why should I show him any level of resepct other than that deserved of an arrogant and ignorant man???

when i purchased the cue from a well known and respected collector, his statment was One orig shaft and one by barry! I have a witness that was there and he came forth on this thred. and when i got back befor posting i talked with barry and he very barely rembers the cue but did rember buying special brass for it the ring work! that was good enough for me ,at that time. then pharo and his sidekick decided to try to discredit my integrety by this slandrous post. so i called the prev owner again and no contact. but called barry and we went over some tech specks on the shaft in question and it appears to be correct. now i do have some joint protectors being made right now that will match and i know for a fact that gus did not make them. as for respect to pharo, who makes you the authorty on cues or what all i know is that you slam everyone and everything that moves on these post! and respect is somthing you have to aquire, and respect is always given as to how you treat others!!! with all due respect

1. Never should have said ( I saw it on another site for sale and now It's more.) Well, Pharo I guess you better not buy anything then from even Wal-Mart because they might make a profit. If I put that kind of money in a cue for investment puposes I would ask for a profit also. It is irrelevant!!
What if Bill's grand father gave it to him. Is he suppose to give it away now. No! Of course not. My biggest ***** with a lot of Azer's here is them whinning. ( I saw that cue some where else for less money.) Yeah, whats your point. Don't buy it then.There seems to be some mentality here that nobody should make any money. Guess not many here understand business.
