This cue for sale appears to be a scam, I have seen this same response with a Scruggs cue on Craigslist recently as well from the same email address (sahmat1961@hotmail.com). I have posted the link and response, hopefully nobody gets sucked in.

Hi,
Thanks for being interested in buying my Original Tad Kohara Custom Pool Cue - Pre-1976 . You will find more pictures in attachment.
I will start my email by telling you that I'm currently out of country so pick up isn't an option. The cue is as described, in perfect condition and will be delivered at your home address. Total price will be $780.00 and the transaction will be made only through eBay because i am not in the country anymore and this way it's safer for both . Right now I'm in United Kingdom, just arrived here 3 days ago. Before I left I found a buyer and I had everything arranged. I paid for the shipping and almost sent it to him. But yesterday the buyer that I had asked me to wait another 4 weeks because he suddenly had other priorities and he is out of money for the moment. I can't wait this long as I'm in United Kingdom for 3 days now and i really need the money, I am in the moving process, changing the work place and everything. A major issue is that if you want to buy my cue you really need to have the money ready for it.
If you are interested reply me for further instructions on how will you be able to get possession of the cue .
I am waiting for your answer.

Warmest regards,
Nancy Bower

Dunno about the cue, but why anyone would even visit the craigslist site is beyond me.

You're risking malware, spam, spyware for just clicking on their links. The people that run that site don't monitor it properly.

No pick up = no deal on craigslist

If anyone deviates from that, it is truly their loss.

Classic scam but craigslist hardly has a monopoly on those. If you have nothing better to do, send her a note that says 'what a coincidence, I am in the UK on vacation. lets meet at your place and I'll bring a big wad of Euros."

CL is great! Just use a little common sense and you will not get ripped off. In comparison I see people get ripped on ebay all the time because you normally do not actually get to hold the merchandise before you buy it.

Let's see, I have bought and sold cars, bought my house, bought and sold tons of furniture, flipped storage units for a profit, found good applicants for job openings I had, my wife found a great job, and tons of other stuff, all through craigslist and we have never been scammed or had any issues.

As already said, common sense is all that is required.

I have heard of the "I am in the UK" thing on craigslist before. and it was a scam. it was for a great condo in downtown Madison, Wi.. friends kids got ripped off. claimed to be a teacher, recently divorced, moving to UK, have to sublet condo to "nice tenets", send deposit, will mail key.
and I bet Nancy isn't a woman. maybe a funky dude sitting in an internet cafe.
beware.

Perfectly said... CL is awesome! But, you can't be naive. Use your common sense and instinct always!

Total scam. Had dealings with "Nancy" before.
What happens next is you get a "Ebay" invoice asking for payment by Western Union or another wire service. Problem is Ebay NEVER SENDS INVOICES. It will cone from a fake email with ebay it , will have a Ebay logo, their font and look very official. Be warned if you wire money it is gone forever.

I try to buy every cue Nancy sells, no she ign

ores me. Directly cuts and pastes descriptios of cues. As stated cue was on ebay awhile back, went too high for me.

Do you know a woman that knows a shaft tip is 12.46 mm?? Total BS

I bought 2 josswests off paypal using paypal with a credit card. A few issues with them so I asked selled to credit me 200. He blew me off. I got credit card to do chargeback...45 days later free cues. Nobody screws you if you use credit card and paypal...nobody.

Wait.....who's the scammer? You did a charge back for the full amount you paid on the cues, but you didn't send the cues back to the seller? If that's true, then you are the scammer. You can't not pay for the cues and keep them.:confused:
